Suny downstate absn 2018-2019

Hello Everyone.

I was just wondering if anyone out there applied for the 2018-2019 program at downstate? Hoping we can all loop each other in on the status.

Congratulations. I received a call this morning for an interview next Tuesday (12/12). It seems a good number of applicants are getting interviews. I wonder what the ratio of applicants interviewed to those that will be accepted are.

Congrats to both!! When was your application submitted? I'm just trying to get an idea on whether they came across my application or not.

@chickenNRiceLover, when did you submit your application? I submitted mine 11/20 and I'm currently still waiting for it to be forwarded!

By any chance did you receive a confirmation email? The lady who called to schedule was suppose to email me something, but i have not received anything. Getting in touch with her has been difficult.

I haven't received anything yet. I actually need to reach out to her to confirm my interview, but like you i've been having difficulty getting a hold of her. I just kept leaving voicemails.

It seems like they really are slowly making their way through applications, looks like they are on October applicants now.

@ Everyone who got calls, how complete are your applications? another possibility is that they are waiting for the semester to be over before they proceed with anybody whos app is pending Fall semester grades

My application is 100% complete, so maybe that is the case.

I have everything in order for my application. Just missing my last 2 pre-requisite courses (Sociology and Intro to Psych); one of which i'm taking this semester. It seems this is the first time they've had an interview for this program? Their website specifically states there are no interviews for the accelerated nursing program. I wonder what it will entail, and what our chances of being accepted are once we have been invited for an interview.

Well, my application is also complete and I don't think they finished reviewing my application yet, so we will see. I'm hoping those who submitted their applications in November will be hearing soon!

I'm pretty sure they've done interviews in the past, I just don't think they did interviews last year and the year before that. It already seems disorganized the way they go about things because I also read that on their website.
