  1. Thanks for your response. I am based in NYC, specifically in the Bronx but can complete preceptorship remotely. The project would essentially be a proposal for system optimization or change at the preceptors site based on a problem at the organization, but the plan will not actually be implemented. The preceptor would provide resources/information.
  2. Hi, did you ever end up finding someone in NYC? I'm in the same boat now and can't find anyone yet. Also attending WGU. My job has more than enough nurse informatics specialists but they're not allowing me to do it there... I now have to look everywhere else which is so frustrating. Please let me know if you had any luck.
  3. Hi! Looking for a Preceptor in New York for my MSN in nursing informatics at Western Governors University clinical practice experiences/capstone from July-October. The preceptor requirements include: - Have a Master's degree (or higher) in Nursing - an active RN License In NY (or compact) - Have at least two years of experience in health informatics (like data mgmt, experience with implementation or optimization, etc.) I do not have to shadow you and you are also not obligated to spend a required number of hours with me, as the course is self-paced. We can communicate remotely via email, text, or any method that works best for you. Please let me know if you can assist! I plan to graduate in November.
  4. Hey everyone, I hope studying is going well. I finally got my ATT code!! When I was scheduling my exam this morning, there were limited dates in July and none in August but I checked not too long ago and there's more availability for July and one in August (for those who live in NYC). This Wednesday makes exactly 6 weeks ago since I graduated, took longer than expected but I hope this helps someone who might still be waiting. Good luck!

  6. Thanks for the update! Good for you!! It sounds like it must be by cohort as no one in mine hasn't gotten it yet. Also, my school is a little disorganized so I wouldn't be surprised if they sent in our information late. I also heard about the late dates in October. Good to know it's not impossible to get a sooner date at least.
  7. Hi everyone. Any updates on getting the ATT? I graduated May 20th and still waiting.
  8. Any luck?? I graduated may 20th...still waiting for my code.
  9. Haven't heard anything back yet but CONGRATS and good luck!! Did your application status change before they contacted you? Also were you an NYU student?
  10. is it normal to be called in for an interview this late?
  11. It's me! I made the group for those going into the summer- just search "CNR Second Degree Nursing Summer 2018."
  12. I emailed Jackie yesterday to be removed from the waitlist- I decided to attend a school closer to home. Hopefully this gives someone else a better chance, good luck everyone!
  13. I just got my acceptance for the Syracuse campus yesterday! It's great news, but I will be declining to attend a school closer to home. Good luck everyone!
  14. I want to make a FB group for the summer 2018 cohort, but I need to add some friends first before I can do that! For those starting this summer, please PM me so I can add you on FB and then create a group (if you're not comfortable sharing your full name here). I found a PQ De Leon on FB and I added you, so hopefully it's the right FB and you should be able to see my request.
  15. Congrats! It could be, since they're rolling admissions. The only reason why I think I heard 4 months later is because they were waiting for me to finish completing some classes before making a decision and left my app. on hold or something. But, I wondered the same thing when I emailed them about my status and then got an acceptance the next day. Nonetheless, I know of many people who graduated from this program and now work for NYP Hospital, so I'm sure it's a great program.
