Hey guys!!!!
well for all of us pre nursing students...anyone taking classes during the summer or doing anything exciting?
For me, I am taking philosophy: logic
and
Intro to psychology:yawn:
meh talk about a very BORING 6-week summer...
and the topper? I have class at 8 am! ARGH, not the way I wanted to start summer. And no, there is no other class being offered, so I need this logic class for the BSN program I am applying for this Oct!
After class gets out (around early August) I have like 3 weeks off until regular semester starts...blah, I will probably be working fulltime...
As for extra-curricular activities? Besides working the weekends, I will be either looking for a HC job or volunteering.
What about everyone else!?!?!?
Not too bad. I remember last summer I took General Chemistry in Summer A which was every week Monday through friday all starting at 8 am plus the lab after. Now I am taking Pathophysiology and have an exam basically every week. I hate taking summer but I know it will be worth it in the end:up:
I got in the nursing prgm at my school :), but I really want to have all my non-nursing classes out of the way, so I have to take a psy class and a computer class...but I'm really sorry you have to be at class at 8, mine are online at least, but I have to get all the paperwork done for nursing school and the orientations and stuff done, so I feel your pain.
I will finish Intro to Sociology this week. It's a Maymester online course. I will get a one week break, with which I will have to work on getting my drug/background check, immunization updates, physical, and get my scrubs ordered. After that I will begin Micro T/Th from 9:30 - 3:00. On the days I have off, I'll be working at a pool store through the summer. I'm super excited to start my nursing classes in the fall (I just got my acceptance letter Saturday!) but this is going to be one busy summer!
I'm taking Anatomy & Physiology I + II. FUN TIMES!! It's only for a full two months though and I had my first class today. The teacher seemed a bit rough in the beginning, but she started to ease up and made the class interesting. Still lots of material for 5 weeks for each course. I'm going to make sure I get A's in both classes.
Good luck everyone with your classes :anpom:
This summer I'm taking English, College Alg, Soci, and Nutri... the rate I'm going I'll be ready for Nursing School Spring 2012!! My summer will be VERY busy, however I need to stay occupied. I also plan on taking 5 classes this fall, I really need to bump up my GPA since I'm currently at a 3.0 My best friends (ROOMMATES) will be in Pharmacy & Engineering School by the time I'm in Nursing School. Were all going to be super busy studying!! So excited
Taking college algebra this Summer, this is my last prereq to complete before I can apply to the ADN program in Sept. I also work full time, early mornings and day shift so my class is in the evening 5:45 to 8:15 M, W. Actually today is my first day of class, excited but nervous. This class is only 7 weeks long so I have to really put in alot of study time, got a A in Mat 102 intermediate algebra, praying I can do the same again.:)
I start a hybrid Micro class on Monday. I am nervous because it's only 6 weeks and only the lab is in class. I HAVE to get a B or it won't transfer. My school won't accept transfers once you are in the program unless they are a B or higher
Wish me luck!!!! Thankfully, I know that this is the one and only summer course I will be taking, my school does not offer summer nursing courses.
After this I only have Advanced Anatomy in the fall and then onto the nursing classes.
