Summer 2012 - Check in

Published

OK, since enrollment for Summer 2012 is close to starting, I figured I'd get the ball rolling for those of us who are taking courses this summer.

What courses are you taking? Is this your first time taking the class? When will you apply for nursing school?

Good luck to you all and let's keep each other updated on our summer classes in this thread :D

I've already started. Started may 21st

So how are people doing in classes? We got our first test back on Thursday and I got a 100 which of course makes me happy. We have another test on Tuesday. Our homework is crazy though, it takes hours and hours to do. Definitely don't have much free time :)

I started my classes in May. I am taking Psychology, math and College Writing. It's a challenge but I have an A in all three so far. Hopefully none will fall below a B.

Its going good for me keeping me busy so I don't go crazy waiting for fall semester. Pathophysiology is very interesting I got a 91% on the first test and 109% on the second and a A on my first paper. Nutrition I have a test every two weeks I got a A on the first one and I have another one next week, my nursing intro class starts in July. Good luck to everyone!!!

Tests have been fine until now. I'm a bit nervous about my test for tomorrow. Took an hour break and about to do a bit of light studying until 11 PM and calling it a night. Our class got thrown an extra chapter.

My last day for my summer class will be next Monday the 18th. So far we had our first exam 2 weeks ago on the first 6 chapters and I came out of it with a B. Chem class drives me crazy especially since it's fast paced but I'm luckily hanging on. This week we will be finished with the final chapter and all the piles of labs and homework we've been assigned need to be all handed it for grading. I doubt I'll ever take another summer class unless I have to like I did with this class because I'm exhausted lol.

I'm swamped. Classes end in July. First Chem test this Thursday and it's 24 pages long. I have papers due every week plus research to do for them, history tests every two weeks plus multiple assignments due before it & 3 chapters to read and comprehend, Microsoft test every two weeks plus a ton of assignments, and lots of chemistry homework.

And add two little wild boys into that, with one that goes to speech therapy. Oy. It's always busy and hectic!

The class I'm taking is chem and we have a test every week on 2 chapters. It is tiring because I start work at 8-8:30, get off work at 5, drive to class. Get out of class at 10, go home, do homework for next day and repeat.

It see,s that the summer classes are brutal. I've never taken a science class in the summer but I've taken Math and History. Would you guys do it again now that you know what you know?

I surely would take these classes again. I am taking four classes. Yes at times I would like to not have anything to do but I am so use to having so much homework I would go crazy without it. Big plus my wait for the nursing program seem to drag and since summer session started I feel it is coming fast. I love my pathphysiology class, I am learning so much. I am taking nutrition again because it is to old but I feel like it is a refresher, my intro to nursing class starts in July, I really cant wait for that. I am also taking a politics class that wasnt required at another school I was going to so I am taking it now. I just stay organized and make sure I turn assignments in on time and I will do good. So far all A's and this is week 4 going into week 5. I only have seven weeks left. Good luck everyone with their classes!!!

Camwill good luck to you. You have your hands FULL!! Do you work fulltime or part time. Getting the classes out if the way is very smart. I intend to do the same!!
