Hello!
Anyone who is applying to Sam Houston's fall 2015 nursing program is welcomed on this thread. Me and one other person had a conversation going on Sam Houston's Fall 2014 thread, but we decided to make our own. Please comment if you are applying! We were talking about TEAS scores, GPA, and other things on the other page and want to continue to talk about anything related to SHSU's nursing program on this page. Please make an account and comment/ask questions/share what you know about the program so we can get a good conversation going. Advisors are helpful, but so is this website, and, of course, other nursing students! :) Thanks.
Just received a call from the school and I had to submit proof of enrollment in the math statistics in order for my application to be considered. I originally thought my Psych Statistics would satisfy the requirement, so just a heads up for anybody that didn't take the math stats.
My status just changed from "pending review" to "accepted".
I called to confirm and everybody there sounded confused. I don't know if it is an acceptance or not lol. I looked it up by clicking the SHSU nursing program application link, logged on with my username, and then the status just shows "accepted". I'll give it a few days to figure out what's going on, but he said we should know by the end of the week.
Hey you guys!
My name is Sarah and I started the BSN program at SHSU in Spring of 2015. I would love to get to know those of you who will be attending in the Fall and to answer any questions you might have! My email is [email protected]
Good luck!
My application still says "pending review," and I haven't had any emails from the school. They told me that the letters would go out 3 weeks after the deadline which was June 15th. So 3 weeks is around the beginning of July, are you sure the email wasn't just saying that your application has been approved?

Yea, I was told that the chances of getting into either was about the same, being that not as many people apply to the woodlands. If I don't get in, it won't be the end of the world. I'll just apply to TWU and UTMB for the spring.
