I think I'm done answering student nurse help me threads here.
I've gotten rude answers, or they never even bother coming back to the thread to acknowledge the answers they received.
Some will ask life choice questions like "Where should I move?" or "Where should I apply?". Do they think someone is going to offer them a job here, is that why they start these threads? You have the whole internet to research towns, cities, regions, but instead you post a thread asking a bunch of strangers where you should move?
Some help me threads seem to be 'Help me do my homework' threads.
Thank you for reading.
Young(ish) nurses, I think I've got it figured out. New signature speaks for itself.Batling in training
"Not too old, not too crusty, but a bat nonetheless..."
I made mention a while ago that I was a lil BIT (Bat in training).I believe it was to Suesquatch. :) I'm 'old' depending on who you talk to yet still 'unseasoned' in term of being an RN, and slightly salted in terms of being an LPN. I'm so confused...who am I? where do I belong? Does anyone want me?? :)
Please refer me to the section where an account can be suspended for such behavior. From what I was referred to prior, it was merely a suggestion as to avoid any repercussions. I have posted on here several times and not heard from any site owner/moderator with so much as a threat to have my account suspended.
It was previously pointed out and quoted, so no, I'm not going to do it for you. I myself know that the TOS says you should not be using personal pictures and other identifiers that would make you known to others.
I doubt the Mod Squad () would suspend you for it; that's a bit melodramatic. But it is there, and for a reason. If you choose not to heed it, no skin off my nose if you suffer for it down the road.
As today is the 50th anniversary of The Beatles first appearance in the United States, I quote these lyrics:
"Do what you want to do,
And go where you're going to.
Think for yourself,
'Cause I won't be there for you."
As far as what happened between you and that other nurse, I don't see what the problem was with her telling you to figure out what you could. You may have thought it was a situation that required her to immediately attend to your question, but I would be willing to bet her assessment of the situation allowed for you to take that time to think independently. It wasn't appropriate for her to mutter out loud what she did, but based on your posts here, I can understand why she may have been driven to blurt that out.
I'm always happy to help, but not when someone is going to go out of his/her way to be argumentative, dogmatic, hyperbolic and intransigent. It's a waste of my time and energy. I have no interest in responding to threads/posts from people who reply as if they were loaded for bear.
Of course I only do what's required of me! That's why I'm *never* going to make it to RN II status ... because I don't contribute a single solitary thing to my field. Ever. I just go to work, take on my piddly 1:6 ratio, do my job, and skeeter out of there right on time. Every single day. My, my. I don't know why I'm even still gainfully employed.
....are you now going back to threads you've already replied to? And asserting that you are not a troll at the same time? Okay.
[h=3]Information About Others:[/h]No potentially libelous information about specific schools, instructors, or health care facilities/entities should be posted in these forums. While it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:
The bolded part is in the TOS; I didn't put it in bold.
Maybe I should make a post asking for help with my PICOT question. Oh wait, I have my Evidence-Based Practice text sitting right next to me.
Oh, look at that. I figured it out using the resources available to me! Now I'll work on the literature search, using the resources available to me!

In this thread, 39 of her 82 posts are all from one person.
