Student Nurse "Help me!" Threads

Published

I think I'm done answering student nurse help me threads here.

I've gotten rude answers, or they never even bother coming back to the thread to acknowledge the answers they received.

Some will ask life choice questions like "Where should I move?" or "Where should I apply?". Do they think someone is going to offer them a job here, is that why they start these threads? You have the whole internet to research towns, cities, regions, but instead you post a thread asking a bunch of strangers where you should move?

Some help me threads seem to be 'Help me do my homework' threads.

Thank you for reading.

I'm just singing your praises--you "get" it. I'm happy to help people with your type of attitude!

You mean someone who asks for help, takes the advise ( ;) ) or at least reflect on it then take the time to thank the person.

No wait, I already know everything, I just want people to validate my terrible opinion or wrong doings.

I completely understand. Many people think that people are nasty when they try to help impart common sense. But we all know that common sense is not common. And I vow not to ask silly questions.

Ask away. We may laugh and point at you, but you won't be able to see us, and anyway, we'll still try to help you. ;)

I just don't like the laughing and pointing when I bring patients to the ER, it makes me check my shoe for TP. But online laughing at me is ok. We all know that eventually to see what we see and do what we do in both nursing and EMS, you need to be slightly twisted... :cheeky:

Yay!!! You found IT!!!

I scrolled back to the first page of that thread, and someone predicted it wouldn't last through the night. Yet it's still there, five years later. Awesome!

Wow, I definitely touched a nerve by starting this thread!

To those sensitive souls who say we can just ignore the threads we don't like- yes, I mentioned that I'd be doing so in my first post.

And, they can do the same. Ignore threads like this.

There. But closed. As all fun threads soon end up being... :(

I worked in the ED for a couple years, and there were some good times back then. And I was joking about the pointing and laughing...sort of. ;

As long as I can't see the pointing and laughing (and I'm sure there will be some), I don't mind! Laugh away :roflmao:

But then, there's always someone who ends up making another one for our enjoyment...:cheeky:

I've looked all over on AllNurses and can't find the answer to this. But I am sure that my situation is unique and special. How old must I be to be a COB? Must I be invited? If I'm not old enough, please don't suggest that I get older. That is unacceptable. Thanks everyone.

Sure, but then you cannot call yourself a "Crusty OLD Bat."

Crusty old bat in training? Crusty old bat squire?
