Stressed Out on NclexPn test results!

Nursing Students NCLEX

i am so scared to find out the results of my test...i think i did really horrible to get the minimum of 85 questions. Everyone in my class had passed the boards with 100% and every single one of them said it was sooo easy..I went on it like a piece of cake but came out crying because the questions kept on getting harder and harder and i similar questions cuming back over and over...i really think in my heart i could have done much better..i just have to wait one more week to know the results...and i hope and pray its not the thick envelope that people say you get when you fail!...anyone in the same situation?...

Hi DeeDaSweetee,

My understanding regarding the NCLEX questions getting harder as the test goes on is that, it is a goods sign :p if the questions get harder !!

Because if the questions were getting easier its a sign that you have not been able to move above that particular knowledge level. And therefore can not handle harder questions, get it !!

So increasingly harder test questions depends on your ability to answer correctly.

I obtained this information from the Hurst Review I bought on line. The Hurst Review is a NCLEX preparation course.

I'll bet you did pass !!!

Talk to yea later

Don't worry about it too much, The test is designed to ask harder and harder questions as you get more and more questions right. then duplicate questions are because the test is also designed to make sure you actually know the necessary items and aren't just getting lucky guesses. I felt the same way two years ago when I took mine. My best buddy and I graduated numbers one and two in our class, he finished in like 85 questions and I finished somewhere around 125, we both passed on the first go around. You did fine, and just in case I will say a prayer for you too.

To anyone and everyone who is reading this post and has taken the nclex boards recently...Does anyone know how the repeat like question system works? Can anyone explain that pls..I still havent recieved my results yet..its been one week and two days... I couldnt sleep last night again..my nightmares on failing woke me up... :rotfl: Pls if anyone can explain to me it would help me sleep just a little better at night.. and if anyone that hasnt taken their boards and would like advice on what kind of questions they would need to know pls feel free to ask me..I still remember some and most of the questions i got as if i took it yesterday. :uhoh21: Thanks

I know how your feeling . I haven't got my results back either and I'm am really starting to worry now. I have called the Board of Nursing and they are not trying to tell me anything :angryfire. I am really trying to keep my hopes up but it is really getting hard. I am just not going to rest until they come in. I really think it sucks that the state of AL does not participate in the quick results thing. I have a job offer that is just patiently waiting for me to get these results back and that is stressing me out . I am sorry if I sound like a bag of tears but that is the way I feel :crying2: . The more time that you have to sit and think about the exam the more mistakes you keep remembering that you might have made. I am so glad I have this website to come to because friends and family members just don't understand how much stress you are really going through. Being that it has been almost 2 weeks, I am really to scared to see what the results may be also...:stone

First of all pls take a deep breath...I know exactly how your feeling..I still havent recieved my results yet either but we will do just fine...I know that you are feeling real stressed out but we will be getting our results in by this week hopefully :) .. my friends that have taken the boards recieved the results in exactly two weeks so i took mine on tues aprl 5 and hopefully it will come tomorrow...Trust me i have been getting dreams of me opening a thick envelope and an enlarged print saying "SORRY YOU FAILED" :o but all i could do is just keep myself occupied on other things to keep me from thinking about the results....I am also glad i have found this site because you are right family and friends dont realize what we are going through right now and all we have is the support of people who have been in our place and has the time to write to us and express their words of encouragment,,.... And its always good to let your feelings out instead of keeping it all in...so feel free to type in some more :p ...Thanks for replying and ill keep you posted.

Here in Canada we write two booklets, so everybody gets the same number of questions. It takes six hours. And we can only write on three specific dates.

The fastest anyone in my class got their results was four weeks, mine took six (for some reason known only to CLPN).

But then that letter P gets you all your back pay (we get paid as CNA's until we get our results). I had five months accumulated.:chuckle

Hi,

I took my exam last week on Thursday and I was on pins and needles. I received just a little over 160 questions...so I was very worried.

Well, I decided to see if my results had come in on Sunday...and they were

and I passed. Thank God! And you know what most of the people that I know who received 85 questions on the PN exam passed...so go and get those results.

First, no one in your class passed with 100%...there is no such thing. Everyone gets 50% correct and 50% wrong..............

There is no numeric score given out, only pass or fail................

And if you are in California, it can take several weeks before you get your scores..........but you can also try accessing the BON's website and see if your name is listed...it may be there before you actually get your letter... :)
