  1. I feel ya Carmen. I graduated from a really expensive but sucky school in Colton, Ca. Good news is I passed... it is amazing how much you can learn from ding-dong instructors. I will hold you in my prayers!! I am sure you will be fine! Let me know on Tuesday how you test goes!! Best wishes, Jaime
  2. :rotfl: :roll you guys are too funny!!
  3. I just passed a few weeks ago with 85 questions!! It is usually a good sign!! :)
  4. I used the Saunders and Mosby cds.... mainly the Saunders...I only used the book if I was not doing so good in one subject I would skim the book and try the test again and I would repeat that in areas I wasnt too strong in...I did study everyday for 2 weeks... I graduated in June of 2004 and had alot of things going on in my life so I didnt study or even open a nursing book until I scheduled my exam... which was late February 2005 and my test was March 12th... but I just made sure I did 100-150 questions a day(sometimes more :wink2: )... focusing on my problem areas... with Saunders you can take system specific tests and that really helped me... I can only remember a few questions from the exam so all I can say is dont forget nutrition related to diseases and culture!! I am sure you will do fine!! Keep me informed!!OH, by the way...Do you have a Saunders CD?? Let me know if you don't..... :nurse:Jaime
  5. Saunders... definitely Saunders!! :wink2:
  6. In California you pay a fee to take the NCLEX-PN and then after you get your passing results back you send in another $100 for your actually license... IT sucks... I got my results on March 21st and sent the $ on the 22nd and I havent gotten my actual licnese yet... and my name isnt on the website yet either and I know I passed.... it really bites
  7. I just took the boards on March 12th and passed.... I used the Saunders questions from the disk and used the book also... I also used the mosby's disk but I liked Saunders because if I got an answer wrong it would tell me why it was wrong and why the correct answer was better... It really helped me... Good Luck and keep us informed :)
  8. Yes... it does... thank you very very much!!
  9. Yeah... I know , my sister is an RN but the LVN works different, I guess... I think it is kind of goofy myself!! But I guess if you dont pass you dont have to pay the licnese fee?? So, if if you fail the NCLEX as a RN... what happens to the license fees?? Do you get them back?? I dont know... I dont understand some of the ways that California works?? I probably never will... :rotfl:
  10. I am in California... I sent in $200 to actually take the test and then it is another $100 for them to issue a license once you have passed the nclex.
  11. Hello everyone... I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes to get your actual licnese in the mail once you get our results from NCLEX and send in the license fee? I got my results on Thursday and sent the $100 fee to the boards Friday Morning. Any guesses on how long it will be? I have a job waiting for me... I am so excited!! If anyone one has any info... let me know... thanks a bunch !! :flowersfo
  12. Hey there, if it makes you feel any betterI took my nclex on 3/12 and I had 85 questions on my exam too... I walked out of the building after my exam sat in my car and cried... I only remembered 2 or 3 questions and I looked them up when I got home and I got them wrong... then I was really broken hearted.... then on March 24th I checked the mail and there it was.... I PASSED!! I was so excited... so as hard as it sounds... just try and relax... I know that they say there are people that fail at 85, I don't personally know any... so the odds are definitely in your favor... I will praying for you! Let us know when you pass :wink2: Jaime
  13. Yes, I got my results on Thursday, I passed!! Thanks for checking in :)
  14. Hi... I just got my results from my NCLEX-PN from California BON and I PASSED!! I wanted to give anyone waiting for results some info... I took my test in Ontario (Cali) on March 12, 2005 and today (March 24, 2005) I got my results. So, it took 12 days to get to me. Also, it says it was processed on 3-21-2005 (9 days from when I took the test). I hope this helps anyone. I also wanted to tell everyone out there that my name is still not on the website... so dont be bumbed if your name is not on there, it doesnt mean anything. :) Names arent posted on there until an actual license number is assigned to you...Any questions... feel free to ask me! NurseJaime29 LVN :chuckle
