Nursing Students NCLEX

i am so scared to find out the results of my test...i think i did really horrible to get the minimum of 85 questions. Everyone in my class had passed the boards with 100% and every single one of them said it was sooo easy..I went on it like a piece of cake but came out crying because the questions kept on getting harder and harder and i similar questions cuming back over and over...i really think in my heart i could have done much better..i just have to wait one more week to know the results...and i hope and pray its not the thick envelope that people say you get when you fail!...anyone in the same situation?...

Oh yeah By the way yes I did pass.

This thread is nearly 2 years old.

what was her testing plan if you wouldn't mind telling me.

you have to email her and she writes back to you and then emails her testing plan to you.

Actually you read the sticky thread in the NCLEX forum caled "First tip of my study plan", then you send a private message to Suzanne.

How in the world do you study for this thing?!!! I just took mine after taking some time off and studying and stressing my life away and guess what I failed!!! I have never felt so low and so disappointed in my life! I study so much and still do not understand this. If anyone has any suggestions I would so appreciate it! I have 60 days before I can do it again, 45 to wait to register and I know it will take 2 weeks for them to process my stuff again!

The thread may be old but the topic is obviously relevant. I think everyone who has ever taken a NCLEX exam has been stressed out about the results.

Good Luck to you all :)

How have you been studying? It's okay, many people fail the first time (nerves, etc). Take a few days break and then back to the books! What I used to study for boards was Kaplan-PN, strategies for test taking and Saunders-PN NCLEX review. Many times, it is not that you do not know the information needed to pass the NCLEX, it is that you don't know how to answer the questions on the test. The Kaplan book will teach you the different testing types of questions found on the NCLEX and the Saunders book will teach you the diseases and disease processes. What I did was I studied through each chapter in the Saunders book (I did not advance to the next chapter until I got 70%-80% right on the practise questions on each chapter). It also comes with a CDROM that has thousands of practise questions in each area of study. It will tell you where you weak areas are. I realize that this can be very overwhelming and frustrating at times. But keep studying, you made it through school and the information is there. Kaplan will help greatly, it will also give you added confidence needed for the test. My BEST advice is take as many practise questions as you can, always read rationales (even when you get the answers right), and reveiw your weak areas. Good Luck!

Hols,

Don't be discourged you are not alone. I don't think there is anyone who feels like they are going to make it through this very gruelling process but you do pass or fail if it is something you really want then go for it again and pray really hard. trust me GOD is listening. Continue studying and step out on faith the second try with the test. At least know when you go into the test the second time you know what to exspect.

Hi eveyone, I'm really worried about my test today this is my second time taking the Nclex PN test my first test was really hard I studied too hard for 3 months and when I took the test and answered 138 items I failed and my test today stopped on 85th item, can anyone tell me if its a good sign? Is there anyone here failed when the test stopped on 85?? Please let me know cuz I don't know if I should be happy and excited or not but I feel like I failed cuz I been very busy with my business with Enagic Kangen Water and I only studied 2 days before I took the test and answered only 50 review questions. Is the 85 a lucky number for Nclex PN Test or not??
