Hello everyone. I am new to this site. I am really stressed out right now because I took my NCLEX for PN yesterday and I feel like I didnt know anything. I know people have similar experiences but I really feel like I was reading a foreing language. The questions were unlike anything I have ever seen. I had all 205 questions and they all seemed hard. I dont know what to do. I cant eat or sleep. And I heard the the people at the testing center know your results but they wont tell you. Does anyone know if this is true. As I was leaving the proctor told me to have a good weekend. Was that a sign? Can somenone would helpful information please respond. Thanks
I know that the animals are affected when we are dealing with nursing school. When I was taking Anatomy, we had to dissect cats, and my poor kitty literally ran away from me when I got home from class. In fact, he stayed away from me and wouldn't even eat from me until the semester was over! My son and husband had to put food in his plate for him. I guess he said to himself "she won't do to ME whatever she did to that other fella"...
That's so funny. I truly believe animals sense our stresses and pain. That's why there are so therapeutic to patients and can change people's conditions. At the hospital where I volunteer on crisis intervention team, they have therapy dogs and even the most ill patient lights up when the therapy dogs come in their rooms. They have that special therapeutic touch. God bless our pets :) They are little angels :) :)
Would you expand on this?Do you conduct test research for the The National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc?[/quote
I work in the testing department at the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Yes, we do conduct research on the test, but giving someone the maximum number of questions is not part of it.

Hi Cyni519 and Pagandadeva, thank you so much for your thoughts. I can't tell you how much it means. My family (other than my 21 year old who is in 2nd semester RN program) just don't get what I'm going through. I quit my job as a paralegal after 25 years making good money to pursue this dream to become a nurse. My mom died of MS last year after a 30 year battle and it was a promise I made to her to become a great nurse. I have seen good ones and really bad ones and I plan to be a sensitive caring nurse. But if after going through all this I can't even pass the NCLEX I don't know where to go from here. I graduated top of my class (with God's help) and after taking that exam I felt like a complete idiot. The on top of everything California makes you wait up to a month, seriously who is in charge of this board. Did I tell you guys mine shut down at 85 and so did my friend's? What did your's shut down at? One person in my class got 185? I just kept praying give me more so I can get something right, then it just shut off. I was pounding the mouse on the desk thinking it must be broke (ha ha). Then when I came out of the test room my friend (also an A student) had just finished and cut off at 85 also. She was in tears as I was about to be. I seriously remember those questions while I am trying to sleep and run to my books and try and look them up, but you really can't. I only had one calculation question and I know I got it wrong as it was an intake and I included the liquid meds which I don't think I shoud have. Lord help me. I just thank you for your support and listening to you guys helps alot. I am thankful for this website. It is my lifeline right now. God bless you all. Sincerely, Oldernursingstudent in California trying not to have a breakdown :) P.S. My pug and my chihuahua (Mimi and Ralphy) even look nervous!!!!!!! LOL
