StonyBrook ABSN: Class of 2021

Hi all,

Thought I'd start a thread here so we can connect. I am in the process of taking my pre-reqs and plan to submit my application by the Oct 2019 deadline for the Summer 2020 start.

I'm planning on attending the Sept 19 info session on campus - anyone else going?

Hello! Does anyone know if we get emails even if we got interviewed but did not get into the program? And about when we should be expecting them?

I have no clue. I've read that they don't reach out if you weren't accepted? Am I wrong? Just waiting for January right now! :'( !!

So I am not 100% sure but in previous years I heard rejections get sent out first, then wait lists, and lastly the acceptances.

I know last year acceptances began to go out december 18th so that means rejections and wait list seats were sent out earlier in december... not sure of the exact dates though.

Oh I'm sorry that sounds more correct. I think I was thinking about the interviews? I'm not sure I've tried to find so much information online but can't find much.

I'm wondering if maybe we will find out about acceptances on the earlier end this year because I haven't heard of any more interview waves going out? I'm not sure but if around Dec 18 is when they found out last year then it looks like we could be 4/5 weeks out from knowing !

I believe the interviews are over. Notifications for interviews went out in mid October and the interview weeks were the weeks of 10/21, 10/28, and 11/4. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Happy December everyone!! Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving!! Just wanted to say it is OFFICIALLY December which should be the month we hear about admission decisions!! Fingers crossed for all of us!!

For those of you who created a SOLAR account... how did you find out your Stony Brook ID? I went through all of my e-mails since the applications and I do not see an ID # anywhere...

@FitnessNurse13, I believe you need to be admitted prior to receiving a student ID.
