StonyBrook ABSN: Class of 2021

Hi all,

Thought I'd start a thread here so we can connect. I am in the process of taking my pre-reqs and plan to submit my application by the Oct 2019 deadline for the Summer 2020 start.

I'm planning on attending the Sept 19 info session on campus - anyone else going?

My interviewers said we'll either make your Christmas or ruin your Christmas, LOL. So, it'll be the week of 12/16.

If you didn't get an interview by now does it mean you didn't get in? I contacted the admissions office and they said "Hi, you can be called to interview up until such time decisions are made. We expect decisions to be distributed in early January. Thank you" It's pretty confusing.

Really hmm...I haven't heard any admission decision from Binghamton. Thought they said January, no?

I believe the site says decisions would be sent out January/February but I received my acceptance on December 5th and I know a few other people posted on the Binghamton forum that they also recieved acceptances. It wasn't an acceptance letter thought... I got an e-mail stating that the status of my application was updated and I should sign in to see the changes and when I signed in, my status was changed to accepted.

I have not heard of anyone receiving a rejection email yet either .. hopefully if anyone hears back they will share ! The wait is killing me!!!

I feel like with nobody hearing anything yesterday between rejections or wait list that will most likely be hearing next week... THE WAIT IS KILLING MEEEEEE

UB just sent out their Admission Decisions.It feels like Stony Brook is the only one left in all of New York:(

I thought someone said rejections are usually sent out within the two weeks before acceptances are sent, though. I’m so tempted to just call and ask! ?
