Can we make this the official thread for The Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2016. Let's start posting questions and suggestions here.

That email is only regarding to documents showing up in Solar because Solar take a while to update. This is what someone at SBU told me when I called.

But there are some people who have gotten interviews and still didn't get in. An interview doesn't grant you a seat. It just puts you into the next race..... Am i right? From older threads, people were getting calls and emails around this time. So i figure they will begin next week.

My understanding from the info sessions (I went to 2 before applying):

Approx. 700 applicants > 120 interviews > 60 accepted.

I believe they admitted a little more than year. You will not get accepted without an interview. It is part of the admission scoring criteria.

Seriously... I think they admitted 70-80 last year though. Slightly better for what that's worth!

when do you think they will start the interview process?

They said this year they waited for all applications to be submitted. They said in the e-mail everything would be processed by November 1st. I believe we should start hearing November 1st about interview THEN you find out a couple days before Christmas. I have heard this from two administrators.

I believe they are accepting 80 people. I know it doesn't seem like a lot when 600 people are applying but it's a little better than 60!

Getting this information around Christmas can be a make or break for your holiday season.

Seriously! I'm expecting decisions from three of the four programs I've applied to -- Stony Brook, SUNY Buffalo and Niagara University -- all in late December. I'm hoping there's some good news in the bunch!

At least one will accept you, I applied to SBU, NCC and SCC so I'm expecting at least one will accept me also

Right? The odds have to be in our favor if we've applied to multiple schools. *I hope that's the truth* I applied to SBU, NYU, and Pace. Good luck!
