Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2016

Can we make this the official thread for The Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2016. Let's start posting questions and suggestions here.

I really want to finish in the one or two years with a bachelor degree so I applied to Molloy and Stony Brook. If I don't get in I need additional classes to apply for the 2 year program at Stony Brook since they changed the pre req this year.

I applied for the first time. I'm really nervous bcuz this is the only school I applied to. The waiting time is killing me. I have a lot of health care and volunteering experience about 5 years. but my undergrad gpa is only a 3.2 and my science gpa is 3.9. Do I have a chance ?

That's what I'm expecting. It really is going to be a stressful two weeks. SBU is my first choice, so I'm really really hoping there's good news sooner than later. Eek!

I feel you on that one, i just try to block it out of my mind and continue with a normal day. But it would be nice if they speed up the process lol

Same here. I'm in school right now, so I'm just trying to think about whatever hw I have. Doesn't work sometimes though haha

So I heard through the grapevine that SBU got 1/3 the applicants they normally do. I don't know if this was for the ABSN program or the traditional program, but I found that really interesting. Gives a little more hope.
