It is sad. I really could never do it unless I needed to. But there are days I see people coming in that are perfectly able to work and don't. But I know that's a whole other story. And no, popcorn not needed. I shouldn't be chastised in anyway silly!
Well, you kinda should be chastised if you see unemployment benefits as preferable to an honest, albeit boring, job.
Take a look around here at all the unemployed new and not-so-new grads who can't find a nursing position. Perhaps a reality check is in order?

I've been a clinic RN for 3.5 years. Before that, I was an LPN. I am still in a clinic, and looking to expand my MIND. My plan was to suffer through 1 year of med-surg, then do travel nursing. Who knows? I may LOVE Med Surg.
The trouble is, no one wants to hire me. So frustrated. I'm trying to hang on at my job now, but ready to just quit and let the government take care of me for a bit.
UGH.
