Hello,
I have read previous posts on here over the last few months regarding admission to SPC's AS Nursing program. I applied for the fall 2013 semester. Are there any applicants out there who also applied? I am playing the waiting game. Do any previous applicants know how long it takes to hear if you are accepted or not, once the application window closes? Thank you:)
For days students, Monday's class is from 1-3 p.m.
The handbook says we need to have five different colors of folders for various documents. I was able to find green/red/blue/yellow easily, but I cannot for the life of me find any store that carries single white folders with fasteners. Has anyone had any luck with this?
@highwaygirl.......I read this...(a binder with colored dividers)In order to do this you
must have a blue, 2 inch three ring binder with dividers. The following are to be kept in the portfolio at all times.
The information is to be divided by these categories and each section appropriately identified.
1. Wellness Project - green folder
2. Well Elder Visits Summary/Others - yellow folder
3. Clinical Preps – blue folder*
4. Interaction Process Analyses (IPA) - red folder
5. ATI Test Results/Facilitation Plans/Documentation that you have completed recommendations on
I would imagine your clinical instructor will go over everything you need to know on Monday, since the syllabus review wasn't mandatory.
As for the folders, Mrs. Burgess (who did the workshops on Wednesday) specially mentioned how we would submit various things (like papers) in these folders and that they needed to have the three prongs in the middle. They don't need to have pockets.
The student handbook says "after papers are graded they may be removed from folder(s) and placed in portfolio." So I think we need both dividers for the portfolio, and the five colored folders with fasteners/prongs.
