Hello,
I have read previous posts on here over the last few months regarding admission to SPC's AS Nursing program. I applied for the fall 2013 semester. Are there any applicants out there who also applied? I am playing the waiting game. Do any previous applicants know how long it takes to hear if you are accepted or not, once the application window closes? Thank you:)
Has anyone had their fingerprints section of the To-Do list on Certified Profile marked as Complete? Mine is still Incomplete and it's only supposed to take 2-3 days (I had mine taken on 7/2). I ended up calling the FDLE to check on the status and they said the fingerprints were sent to SPC on 7/2, so ... I'm not sure what's up.
ugh..... I am so overwhelmed. where did you guys find out the info on the books and the skill kit? How do I look up the nursing 1 info at the book store online? Where did you purchase your skills kit? How much was it? Thanks so much for the info about the scrubs and shoes! The night program will be a lot, but I have 3 kids and am in the process of opening a daycare, so night is my only option. I need my husband to be able to get the kids. I cannot afford 350.00 a week in childcare if I am not working. Is any one else going to the night program? Thanks so much for all the great information!!
I am feeling and
and
with a little bit of
thrown in there for good measure.
I got my first choice - days with Burgess at HealthSouth. My commute to clinicals will take approximately 3.5 minutes. Less than 2 minutes if I don't get a red light.
Gotta say, spending $1000 in two days on books/skills kit makes me feel like hurling. I went ahead and got the e-book package because ... might as well get it over with. I'm not opening it for a few days in case I change my mind.
I thought orientation was great, though. It's a little overwhelming but I'm excited to get this thing started. It was nice seeing familiar faces from my A&P and Micro classes.
JenniferWarner,
There was a hint at orientation that there were people who haven't checked their emails, hence getting dropped. So stay hopeful! "fingers crossed"
I think I am going with the print + ebook option just to have physical material at home. Plus we can sell the books for some money when were done and still have the ebooks forever..
Can anyone recommend a good and cheap stethoscope thats comparable to a littmanns?

I installed EverNote on my phone and laptop and trying to figure it out. It does seem a little advanced but hopefully will get used to it by the end of august.
Mhasan77, since you are another male on board, did you buy shoes and scrubs already?
If so, where did you buy it and what kind?
