Spring 2011 UT Health Sciences Nursing Hopefuls

I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)

Did the questionnaire have more than one page? I only filled out one page and then the two page computer questions. I've been seeing people talk about how the questionnaire asked about health care experience, but when I filled out my paper, I don't remember there being questions about that. Oh well...

The interview went okay. Like everyone else, I wanted to say more than I did. I'll just have to cross my fingers and wait!

I forget how long the questionnaire was, but I do remember seeing the healthcare experience part.

no way. whether i get in or not I am doing volunteer work at md anderson. i have atleast a 6 month committment so I am going to stick to that. 3-4 hours a week helping them out isnt going to kill me

I also interviewed today. I interviewed at 12pm, it was a small group but not cancelled. They said they are interviewing about 325 people and not everyone who qualified got an interview.

325??? Well...that's not too bad. I am definitely glad it's not 500+. Groups do seem to be getting smaller...

just google the hospital+volunteer.

I would suggest go to one that means something to you. I picked md anderson because the hopital history I have with them.

I just realized last night.... when I tried to sleep.... It is going to be a long month til i find out if I got in or not. I dont think I will be able to get a good night's sleep until then. All I could think/dream about was nursing school acceptance letters...

I wouldn't rely too heavily on the utlink. Your UTLink wont be updated until at least a week or two after you get a letter in the mail.

The lady at my interview said theyd be sending out emails, so I think Ill be waiting for that, not a letter in the mail.
