Spring 2011 UT Health Sciences Nursing Hopefuls

I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)

This afternoon I received an email notice for an interview on September 15th @ noon. This is the first time I have ever posted. I knew there must be a group communicating about the Spring 2011 session and I wanted to hook up with some fellow Spring 2011 Hopefuls. Looks like several people will be there on the 15th. Good luck to all. I'm sure we have all worked our butts off to get to this point! :nurse:

When did you all take your HESI? I took it July 30th and UT still has not posted it and they say they don't have the scores. I was well assured by Evolve that they do, but it still makes me a bit nervous. Of course we all want to be on that first round of interviews, just to set our worries aside.

I took mine in May but the scores never showed on UTLink as being received (at least last time I checked). I was told that the Hesi could not be posted (or uploaded - whatever you want to call it) because of some system problem; however, the lady checked my file on her end and my scores were indeed received.

Hi Everpark, I took my Hesi on June 27 at the Harwin location in Houston. However, my UT link didn't show as my scores received until mid-August. And, I don't know if this helps at all, but my last name is near the beginning of the alphabet. Maybe they're going by that? I also think they do interviews in waves, so I'm sure more interview letters will be sent out soon. Good luck!

I'm so nervous! I got my interview notice via e-mail today at 11:42am. My interview is scheduled for Sept. 16th @ 8am. Congrats to all who received an e-mail as well!

Can any previous applicants please share any information on what to expect for the interview?...for the writing sample, interview questions and how the procedure goes. Also, I'm not quite sure what they are looking for in a resume. Would this be like a work history/experience-type resume?

i received my interview notice today. Mines on sept. 16 at 8am as well. :)

GPA (they counted my A- 's as 4.0 rather than 3.67) :) - 4

HESI: 92.99

I got my interview email today at 11:42am. I'm scheduled for Sept. 15 at 8am

GPA: 3.5

Science GPA: 4.0

undergrad: 3.1

HESI: 89 (I took it in May and it just recently posted on my UTlink)
