Hi everyone! I am a first semester nursing student (started Spring 2011) at UTMB. I was in your shoes just a few months ago, and would be happy to help answer any questions you may have about your upcoming nursing education at UTMB. If you are on the fence about UTMB, let me just say that I am THRILLED to be here. The program is set up for student success and the faculty TRULY want you to succeed. Best of luck to each of you. Hi girldance, I really do not know how they ranked the waitlisters. Just don't give up hope. I've even heard of times when a waitlister was called in the first day of orientation because someone didn't show up. Cheers!

I'm sorry, I don't know how many were accepted from the wait list. I think there were a total of 20 initially, though if that helps.

I'm really excited about meeting up too! What an awesome adventure we are on! Life is good!

Let's just decide to meet Sunday, Jan 2 at 7pm. The Original Mexican Cafe has great food and delicious drinks and should be able to accomodate a good sized group. Let me know if this works for most people and if the concensus is good then I will post it on the FB page as well. :) Cheers!

Hey everyone! I was wondering if any of you had any classmates that were accepted to UTMB for the Spring 2011, but that plan to decline their offer? I am currently on the waitlist and am holding out hope. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I'm sad to report that I have been waitlisted, but I still have hope to join you in January. I know alot of students apply to multiple schools and just hope that enough decline UTMB for me to get their spot. Congrats to all who have been accepted! Cheers!

hey beck.lclm, Congrats! Do you happen to live in the Galveston/Houston area? I am still anxiously waiting an email or letter, but I am in the Austin area and I am hoping to receive my letter on Monday.
