I wanted to start a support thread for all of us that will be applying for the Spring 09 start. My hope is that we keep this thread alive through the process and keep each other encouraged! Nursing School is hard enough to get into!

Where are you applying?

They said "yes" or "no" letters will go out around Thanksgiving!!

Where are you applying? UMB, Catholic University, Howard University and possibly Coppin State University.

What is your GPA and/or points for your school of choice? 3.00, 2.8 or 2.5

When is your schools deadline? Jan, Feb, March

What is your backup plan A, B, C..?

I hope to get into UMB but if I don't I'm also applying to the universities above. Hopefully I get into one of them.

I called and harrassed the nursing office again...*hangs head sheepishly*...the only thing that they will tell me is that letters go out "at the end of this month." Which, in theory, could be anywhere from 10/20ish to Halloween!!!

its great to know I'm not the only one harrasing the nursing office. lol. I'm so stressed and anxious I might start losing hair....yikes!!! god, no...please!!!

Where are you applying? I applied to Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

What is your GPA and/or points for your school of choice? My GPA is complicated -- I'm 37, so I've got a lot of different GPA's. My first year of college 20 yrs ago was not so great. I finished my Bachelor's with a 3.6, then I got my Master's from Stritch, and my GPA was 3.9. My lifetime GPA is a 3.22 because of my first foolish year. My NET score was an 84 composite which was the 90th percentile. THere were hundreds and hundreds who took the NET at Stritch.

When is your school's deadline? The deadline was 10/1, and the notification date is 10/20, but I got a call a couple days ago that I made it in.

I emailed the enrollment officer at my school (again)this morning, waiting to get a reply. Hopefully I will hear from her by the end of the day with some answers, hopefully it is something I want to hear!

GPA overall - 3.64 (UTT Core curriculum plus nursing pre-reqs only)

GPA on pre-reqs - 4.0

points for school - 83.18 out of 100

When is your school's deadline? September 15

I got my acceptance letter today! :yeah:Now I just have to pass this semester (Microbiology, Concepts of Nursing, and Pathophysiology). Oh, and buy my PDA...
