Spring 09 Hopefuls

Published

I wanted to start a support thread for all of us that will be applying for the Spring 09 start. My hope is that we keep this thread alive through the process and keep each other encouraged! Nursing School is hard enough to get into!

Where are you applying?

What is your GPA and/or points for your school of choice?

When is your schools deadline?

When does the acceptance letters go out?

What is your plan A, B, C...?

now thats what i call waiting:banghead:

congratulations!!! what school are you in? and what city and state.:yeah::up:

i'm in ky at wkctc. my advisor laughed and asked me if i was excited, i think she could tell

:D i lack 2 shots, my cpr class (tuesday) and of course this semester micro, dev. psy, and computers. i plan on having a wonderful christmas....i'm sending great thoughts for everyone waiting!! we are all in this together......

Believe me, it has been a real test of my patience, however like everyone else here I should be getting an answer very soon, within the next four weeks. I figure since I could handle (some what) the past eight months, what's a few more weeks? I've contacted the admissions officer at my school several times but I don't want to bother her too much because I fear it might jeopardize my chances of getting into the program. At this point its a waiting game, anxiously checking the mailbox/email everyday.

I am hoping to get into the Spring 2009 sequence at Kent State University. Applications are due Nov. 15 and acceptance or denial letters are usually delivered a few days before Chirstmas : (

As far as grades, I have a 3.66 cum but I still need to finish O Chem and Micro this semester, which might give me a run for my money. I am studying hard and hoping for the best. They only take 100 people!!

No nails left :wink2:

I'd offer you my nails but I chewed them off after my tests this week, how about a file instead?

Got my letter yesterday. :sniff: I am number 21 on the waiting list of 25. I think that my chances are slim for spring '09, but there is always Fall '09. Onward I go.

I got a call from St. Vincent for an interview (heard somewhere that getting an interview is means you're in). And I also took the TEAS for Cochran. The Admissions Counselor said I just needed to finish my A&P 2 with a C+ or better. I'm about 50% in. Keeping my fingers crossed and my mind in constant prayer.

Nursing School! Here I come! :chuckle

Looking good since my last post. 99th percentile on the Pax, just this quarter and winter count. I'll finish computer science, Micro and A&P III this quarter then drop back to 100 level classes to finish out winter with writing, psych and sociology.

C'mon spring! Right now I sit at 182 points with two quarters left. I should be in the 200's. Last quarter, first wait listed person had 201 with a 98 on the pax.
