Spring Classes

Nursing Students Ohio University

Published

Does anyone know if they have posted what general education classes are offered for Spring 2013? I know where to find the nursing classes through 2014, but I haven't been able to find a posting for Spring 2013. Maybe they haven't. If they haven't does anyone know when to expect this to be released? I just like to plan and since I only have Excellence and 3 gen eds to complete I'd to have an idea on what is ahead. Thanks!

I am still not finding it Didi...can you be more specific as to what I am looking for???

Online Bachelor Completion Program: RN-to-BSN Knowledge Center at Ohio University

Scratch what I said, here's a link I just found out about:

Ohio University RN-to-BSN Knowledge Center

Thank you Didi. Are you able to register? I cannot get spring term to show up on the enroll page so I can enroll in the classes on myOhio. Can you??

Are we allowed to take classes from the Outreach program? I need to take stats with Evidence, but our program schedule doesn't have stats until the 2nd part. Since they flipped it all around it screws things up.

As far as I know you cannot take Outreach classes. If you try to sign up for those it won't accept it, because, I did that accidently one quarter and it was dissallowed. However, things could have changed since last January.

I am completely screwed and this can literally push my graduation close to a year out if they don't allow it. Evidence was supposed to be part B, but they moved it to A, but don't have stats until B. It has to be taken before or concurrently. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Guess I will be calling the school tomorrow.

Hey Everyone,

I take classes as an AIO student and I was able to register for two of my classes. I spoke with someone at OU and they said that the "Permission" thing is a glitch. They will hopefully have it straightened out tomorrow.

I sure hope they do get this fixed. I still have one more class to register for.

Best of Luck!

Yeah that messed me up too. Psy 2110 is being offered for the entire semester..ugh! I could do that and take EBP the first session, leadership the second, and family the third. I don't know what to do now.

You can take Psy 1110 Elementary statistical reasoning which is only 5 wks long. starts in 2/2012.

Yeah, but you have to have it before or concurrently with Evidence so that doesn't work.

It's next to impossible for me to do it for the full 15 weeks. I still have to do Chemistry and Cross Cultural, which I am doing outside OU. I can't do all those, plus a nursing class, and Stats. The NP program I am trying to do is once a year, and starts in June. Which isn't going to happen if I can't take Evidence this term.

I live in NY, they have this stupid thing with online classes, and not honoring them. So I am extremely limited with what I can take for Psych NP. This seriously can put me an entire year behind in school because of this. I hope there is some mistake.

I don't see how they can just change up from the master schedule with absolutely no warning.

I am really hoping that there will be a good outcome to this for you when you call tomorrow.

It seems that OU consider Fall and Spring classes to be just that. I think you can register for Evidence in January and take Stats in February because it is all in the SPRING semester. I don't think it is deemed session one and session two anymore as far as registration is concerned. That is why you can take 4600 before other nursing classes are finished. Hoping this will be the case for you.

If that is the case, it will work out even better for me. Because I can take stats with Excellence, and do family last. I'm trying not to seriously freak out right now. If this doesn't work out, it literally puts me not starting NP school for possibly almost 2 years instead of 7 months. Unless I can find a program that the NY board of education "approves" of. But that could also cost me twice as much money, as the program I want is in state tuition.

Sorry for going on and on. I'm just really worried right now.

Yes a lot of us are worried because the order of the classes does matter for many of us who have spent hours plotting out courses to take at OU as well as other classes outside of OU. It is more than just disappointing. For some of us it could change our graduation date and future planning.
