Spring Classes

Nursing Students Ohio University

Does anyone know if they have posted what general education classes are offered for Spring 2013? I know where to find the nursing classes through 2014, but I haven't been able to find a posting for Spring 2013. Maybe they haven't. If they haven't does anyone know when to expect this to be released? I just like to plan and since I only have Excellence and 3 gen eds to complete I'd to have an idea on what is ahead. Thanks!

I am taking the Bus. Communication class right now, but when I looked at the one offered in spring it is a different instructor and even requires a different book...I have not minded it at all. The assignments are a lot mostly discussions, a few memos and some journal writing. You are able to take the quiz as many times as u want until u get the score u want..pretty cool..I can't imagine that changing! I've had a great TA in this class! Super helpful! I do not know of any offerings for this that are only 5 weeks. It has definitely been "doable" for me and I have two daughters (7 & 10) and I work 4 days a week. I'm sure u can double this one up ...hope this helps u!! Good Luck!! :)

Have u taken Fashion and Culture or Nutrition? I think u may have given me some advice on nutrition last week...

Is there a FB page for our program, or just the one that says outreach initiative or whatever?

Glad to hear they are fixing it. I needed some good news today.

The FB page I'm on says Ohio University Rn to Bsn program. I don't know if there are any others.

I am also one of the ones who need a Junior Comp. I was hoping for a 5 week class in the spring! Bummer!

I contacted the professor for the 5 week junior composition class and he said they will not be offering this in the spring. His class has started so he has no openings for any other students. OU had one 5 week class this fall. I wish I had known about it and registered for it. :cat: Nessa74 said the class was not too bad so I will do my best then. I need to graduate in June. Did they put up the spring classes yet?

Found it thanks! The one I had originally was the outreach one. I couldn't get ours to come up,

Have any of you been able to register for classes?

I can't sign into the area where you register at all now, was able to earlier. I saw where the schedule has been mostly corrected (but I still can't sign up for 4600, still says "permission").

It's down for me too.

I can't even pull up the website to register. This is frustrating.

Has anyone challenged any classes that you may think you already have for the program? For example, my DARS says that I need a junior composition class to complete. However, I took an equivilent english class that in unaccounted for.

There have been people who have sent the description and gotten credit. But where did you take that class at? If it was a community college it won't count, as it's not junior level.

Anyone here know it they offer an intercession or accelerated online class for the junior composition class? I have looked online. I called Wright State and they do not offer one. Any suggestions? I called OU today and complained about not offering a 5 week class for jr. composition class in the spring. I can see that I am not the only one that feels this way. I will have to also take two classes at a time this spring. The program is suppose to be for "working RN's" with the key word working. I thought the last ten weeks were difficult with work, family, and all the other responsibilies that each person has. No breaks between the classes and no break for Thanksgiving. The next 15 weeks with be awful but I will do what I need to, to succeed.

I've been waiting a year for the 5week jr comp. I scheduled the 15 week business communications instead, much to my dismay. University of Phoenix has a 5 week comp but I'm having a lot of trouble getting those people to get back to me. Even after a lengthy conversation.
