Spring 2017 Chat

Now that January is here, I thought I'd start a thread where we can support and encourage each other through our Spring semester, similar to our Fall thread, but with a bit more chit chat. What's your schedule look like? Any other goals you're working on?

I go back on the 17th, though I have a Phi Theta Kappa meeting on the 13th.

My schedule is:

A&P II

Microbio

Federal Government

World Religions

The last two are online.

Right now I'm trying to lose this holiday weight, so I've started running again (it burns). I graduate at the end of this year! In December I'll have my EMT-B certification and my Associates of Science in Biology. I'll also be applying to nursing school (application deadline is August 1), so it's going to be a really exciting (busy) year for me! I'm hoping to use my EMT-B cert to become an ED tech during the summers.

I look forward to chatting with you guys this semester!

Finished my first final of three, got a 95, which puts my final grade for Government at a 95. Glad to see the back end of that class. Now it's all Micro and A&P II.

Rockstar! :) I just got back from taking my Chem final. I think I did pretty well but still waiting for grades to be posted. Fingers crossed! All I have left is my Micro final on Thursday but that ones going to be my hardest final for sure. Taking tonight off to rest my brain but will be hitting full-on study mode starting tomorrow!

Side note: I finish my finals on Thursday and start summer school on Monday... yes, a week from today. What is life. lol

Some people totally showed up in scrubs. One dude was rocking sweat pants.

Awww man, that totally wouldn't have flown back home haha. Us brits are a stuffy lot~ Then again, one facility I was working at had a lass turn up in a leather jacket and booty shorts for an interview (she got the job... lol)

I'm so giddy for you all!! Good luck to those starting school soon, and grats to those that have just finished the semester (or are in the process of finishing)!

I had my last final today! 3 more weeks until I start physiology this summer.

I had to talk to our cashier's office this morning because there was a block on my account preventing me to register for summer classes. Anyway, I got the block removed just in time because the class section I wanted was almost filled! So excited for these coming months. I also got new scrubs for work which I'm excited about and I'll be buying a new stethoscope in a couple weeks and possibly a new laptop :)

"Officially" done with Spring semester, A's in all my classes. I am so nervous waiting to hear back from the nursing program. I've only applied to one school, I have a lot riding on this. Good luck to everyone waiting!

Congrats!! What day do you start Physiology? My class is from May 30-July 20 so we should definitely support each other! Cause ya know, summer struggle bus. haha

I just found out that I got 100% on my Chem final so I'm super stoked about that! I have my Micro final on Thursday though and it's gonna be a hard one, I can tell. Mainly because our last unit was Immunology and she ran out of time to finish teaching it. So we're responsible for teaching ourselves 2 whole chapters and immunology isn't exactly easy. But what's more annoying is that it's going to compose about 75% of our final since we never had a lecture exam over it. Like... ok? lol Not happy about it but what can you do.

A friend of mine was nice enough to take my girls for the day, so I got a lot done. I've got the A&P II stuff down. Micro (which is tomorrow morning), I'm a little nervous about. The biggest part of the test is coming from the exam that I did the most poorly on, and I also lost my notes. I'm at the point now where my brain is done. I'll get more in later tonight.

Tomorrow is my graduation day!

I start on the 29th and the semester ends on August 7th. But yes!! I'm a little nervous because people say that phys is so much harder than anatomy. I didn't think anatomy was too bad but I can't imagine "so much harder."
