SPC students applying for fall 2017??

I know this is pretty early but i just finished my pre reqs for nursing and im on the border but I seriously CAN NOT wait to apply in march! Ill be finishing my AA if i dont get in.. so i will apply again if that happens but fingers crossed it wont! 3.766 gpa for application.. are you all excited?! Congrats to who got in last semester by the way! What how do you all feel at this point in time? Im feeling a huge accomplishment coming! --:nailbiting::nurse::nailbiting:

Welcome to the waiting group!

We have just about 17 days left (but who's counting). I have booked that day off work so I can hang around my email and either celebrate or cry with my family. I'm sure all will work out the way it's supposed to be.

How's everyone holding up on the break? Are you guys out enjoying the sun and beaches?

I plan on using my time at work to keep checking my emails... it may be less stressful. I am going on a trip to see my high school best friends the week before and so had hoped to celebrate or cry with them... obviously that is not going to happen as from what I can see we will hear nothing early. PAINFUL! :-)

Does anyone else think we'll be notified June 30th? Since July 1st is a Saturday. Super anxious! I've been denied into USF and waitlisted to PHSC (highly doubt I'll be accepted there - they don't tell you how many people are on the waitlist or what number I am on the waitlist). I also applied to HCC, but now really doubting I'll be accepted there! Praying I will be accepted here or I will have to wait and reply everywhere for the spring semester. At SPC I believe to have a 3.70 prereq - got a B in western humanities, but an A in world religions. An advisor said they will use my A in world religions (the higher humanities class course) for calculation of my prereq GPA but idk - if they don't my prereq is a 3.6

Good Luck and don't give up hope on PHSC or HCC yet! I actually tried to call and see if I could get that confirmed, but I did not get anywhere. If I were a betting person I would think it is safe to assume that we will be notified 2 weeks from today!! (Not that I am counting)

SPC closes early on Fridays, so I think that they will tell us Thursday the 29th.

Hang in there, it is not over yet! Worst case they say spring is less competitive, but that may not even matter, see what happens at the end of the month!

So glad I found this forum, I've been driving not only myself, but my family crazy with the woes of waiting for July 1st. Does anyone else think we'll be notified before since the first is on a Saturday? Also what are your thoughts on evening and day classes? Both have pros and cons but just curious to hear some other opinions 😉 Anyways good luck to everyone! 11 days and counting......
