Do you know how to figure out how many points you have going in? I've heard of this point system but have no idea where to find it or how to calculate it.

Go here, and click on admissions guide (its a pdf) it has how the point system works. Basically GPAx10 and Classes done

Go here and click on the admission guide(its a pdf) and it tells you how. Its basically GPAx10 and Classes completed

I tried to post a link twice lol but they had to be approved i guess.....so those two posts may post randomly sometime but i found it on the old spc website(go) by searching nursing, clicking on Nursing A.S degree, then program admissions, and finally admission guide(pdf). Its GPAx10 and Credits completed out of the 30

Awesome thanks! I think I just found it on the new site with your directions by searching Nursing > Nursing AS Degree > Nursing AS Degree Admission Guide

Inside the PDF, on the 4th page, there is the school's GPA calculator. The only thing is it has two courses on there (SPC 1600 and PHI 1600) that I have no taken and cannot find what courses those are on the website. Perhaps I'm under an old intake even though I started this only a year ago?

Anyone know what those two courses are? I'm not worried for not taking them. In March the advisior I saw at the health center said I was all set for application.

I know SPC 1017 was speech communication, and PHI 1600 is Applied Ethics

I have a 67.66 im guessing? Lol still praying that'll get me in! I just googled SPC Nursing gpa calculator.. I wonder if they are still using it? I had to try a couple links to find it..

You should be solid! A lot of people it seems apply with a 4.0 w/o micro&lab and have 67 points...so you're gonna beat out that crowd!

I think your going to be ok. All my courses are done and now is the long wait to July for me.

Anyone taking summer classes to stay sharp? (besides crazy me)

Thanks! Hope so. Im just using the teas book i got and my anatomy books to keep fresh with basics.. its not going to be an everyday thing but whenever i feel like it.

Hi! :) First time posting in this forum. I'm a pinellas county resident, have my AA & a 3.7 prereq. Super anxious about whether or not I'll be accepted. Really hate having to wait so long, hopefully I'll at least be selected as an alternate, but then even more waiting. I would love to go to SPC because I live so close and being able to complete the program fall 2018. I have also applied to USF, HCC & PHSC.
