SPC students applying for fall 2017??

I know this is pretty early but i just finished my pre reqs for nursing and im on the border but I seriously CAN NOT wait to apply in march! Ill be finishing my AA if i dont get in.. so i will apply again if that happens but fingers crossed it wont! 3.766 gpa for application.. are you all excited?! Congrats to who got in last semester by the way! What how do you all feel at this point in time? Im feeling a huge accomplishment coming! --:nailbiting::nurse::nailbiting:

Speaking of Micro hell, I just completed Ulrich's lab report. that bad boy was 11 pages.

I feel your pain! I've only just started my unknowns report for Mr. Davis' class. My flow chart ALONE is 4 pages. This report is going to be brutal!!

Two exams, a lab report and possibly one group presentation (if we don't get all the way through tomorrow) It's going to be a busy week next week!!

Two weeks left guys! We got this!!

I got my unknown right, actually, everybody but one person got their unknown right in Dr. Ulrich's class. She said it's usually 50/50, and was so impressed that she gave everyone 5% extra credit. That was nice :whistling:.

I'm actually taking chem 1 this summer. One, because I need two chem classes, 1 year ICU, and BSN for a certain Master's program at FGCU :up: And two, if I'm not busy I freak out, and I like to stay in the academic loop of things, it keeps me fresh.

I can't imagine just doing bedside med/surg. :yuck:

I haven't even started Davis's Lab report lol, i'm dreading it!! I just did a little GPA calculating and if all goes well this week and next I should have a 3.814 when applying, hopefully that'll give me a good shot at getting accepted for the fall! Just need to take stats over the summer and that'll be it!

Have you guys taken the CGS test? I'm taking it Thursday most likely, it looks like it'll be super easy, just wondering what you guys thought of it. thanks!

What's the CGS exam? Is this a new requirement for the nursing program? I'm confused, sorry.

It is the Basic Computer and Information Literacy Exam...It can either be taken as a class or an exam, but most people just take the exam. I'm pretty sure its required for every program and degree. but i know for sure we need it for nursing

Thanks for clarifying that..lol.. I thought they replaced the reading test with that exam. I actually took this course my first semester. It was super easy and useful.

I clept that class. No thankyou. Haha, this is my last semester before beginning in fall. I have a 4.0 so not very worried. This is to say, however, fall is the harder of the two in admissions. Generally they push 3.85's + pinellas residency.

I didnt take the test but i took the crash course that was only 8 weeks long. If you dont pass the test it shouldn't be too bad to add on summer.. they just had you follow tons of steps out a book and i dont think there is a final

I finished Davis' lab report yesterday afternoon. SO much time was put into that thing. I'm happy to put that thing to rest. 12 pages and nearly 3500 words. Still, it's not the largest paper I've written for a class - but still... that was crazy!

Onto the last exam today in that class, quickly followed by 3 other exams. The last half of the semester is always busy! I'm not going to lie, I'm not going to miss micro at all.

I did not have to take the computer literacy test as I have a prior degree that transferred over to cover it (Thank God). I have no idea what my GPA will be after this semester finishes out. I know that the health center adviser said that I'll be just fine, but I really have no idea. I don't know, I just don't trust them as much as I should.

Is it July yet??

So glad that finals are over! I finished with a 3.814 w/o stats done....so that puts me at 65.14 points. Im just hoping at this point to be a low # alternate lol. If not, i'll definitely get in the spring. But it's worth a shot anyways!

Are you guys trying to get days or nights? I'm am aiming for nights whether its fall semester or spring!
