Published

I know this is pretty early but i just finished my pre reqs for nursing and im on the border but I seriously CAN NOT wait to apply in march! Ill be finishing my AA if i dont get in.. so i will apply again if that happens but fingers crossed it wont! 3.766 gpa for application.. are you all excited?! Congrats to who got in last semester by the way! What how do you all feel at this point in time? Im feeling a huge accomplishment coming! --:nailbiting::nurse::nailbiting:

Sorry to hear that. I will apply one more time if i dont get in.. i do know that i have a better chance getting in than some that still need micro.. lets stay positive because we can try again maybe raise a grade.. hang in there!

Since you know a few people, do you know if we have to take the TEAS test at all? Ive read spc does test for it but also that they dont anymore.... im curious.

There is no TEAS for SPC's RN program.

That just seems weird to not have an entrance exam.. thanks.

Considering the higher GPA requirements, I'd assume it levels out.

Im starting to be obsessed with checking email!

I was too, so I downloaded the Outlook mail app setup the school email and now the notifications come straight to my phone! I was driving myself crazy!!

Well that saves a ton of time and waiting for the page to upload

Tomorrow is the 6 day mark (if you count the day itself). Things just stepped up to a new level of hell for me. Classes are getting crazy busy in the final push for the semester. Work is work it never changes. I also have a family member who is out of state that got quickly moved from hospital to hospice in the span of 5 days and it's not looking like she will be with us much longer.

Finding out will be bitter sweet it appears. Celebrations will be delayed for me :(

Keep the good vibes going! If you get in.. celebrate and try not to be scared for the next step of your education. Embrace the challenge!!! If you did not get in, try not to be disappointed. You only fail when you give up. If you don't get in use the semester to get courses done for your AS or some other supplementary courses (depending on your completion ratio). Don't forget to apply again for the spring intake!! Never give up - we all will be nurses (and darn good ones) when the time is right for us!

Im sorry to hear you are having a rough time right now. Thank you for encouraging words. I hope the end of this week can be better for you! Hang in there!

......still checking email on a sunday.....

I had last minute applied to a LPN program and may consider doing that and then a LPN to RN bridge program if SPC denies me.

I'm not sure about the other schools, but SPC recently changed (or are soon changing) their requirements for the bridge program to include 1 year of recent LPN experience. There are so many students using the bridge route now, that requiring recent experience weeds out lesser qualified candidates.

Good luck, guys. I know the wait is torture.
