SPC students applying for fall 2017??

I know this is pretty early but i just finished my pre reqs for nursing and im on the border but I seriously CAN NOT wait to apply in march! Ill be finishing my AA if i dont get in.. so i will apply again if that happens but fingers crossed it wont! 3.766 gpa for application.. are you all excited?! Congrats to who got in last semester by the way! What how do you all feel at this point in time? Im feeling a huge accomplishment coming! --:nailbiting::nurse::nailbiting:

I really hope I have a chance with a 3.70 idk

not to mention my heart jumps out of my chest a little each time my school email dings on my phone... No SPC, I don't care about your new website launching at this moment in time lol!!!!

Well since you asked...I am a male and applied for this fall. I agree, there does not seem to be many men applying for this fall.

Goodluck to everybody that applied!! I'm feeling good about being accepted but you never know. Only two more days unless they send emails early because of the holidays.

I am so nervous .keep telling myself I will get in my GPA 3.892 I hope is not too low ..hoping we will know by tomorrow. Good luck to all:)

that doesn't really surprise me, I watched the pinning ceremony for last fall (I know, total dork lol) and there were very few men there too, like one or two per clinical group....

So I am struggling with something and I do not think anyone that does not understand how difficult getting into this program will understand. I have been at my job for 10 years, it has NOTHING to do with the medical field. They have no idea that I have been working towards getting into the program. Last week I was celebrated for my years of service and given a bonus. The thought of giving my notice a week and a half after being recognized company wide makes me nauseas. In my mind I am thinking if I get in for the fall, I should have no problem getting in for the spring and that will be a little cleaner for me leaving my company. I get that I am supposed to do what is best for me, but I want to feel good about leaving a company that has done a lot for me over the past 10 years. Oh and my boss is out next week, and will have no phone access so my notice would be one less week... ANYWAY... am I crazy to consider reapplying in the spring IF I get accepted in the fall???

That is a tough one, but at the end of the day I would definitely say to look out for you. If the company cares that much about you they should not only understand, but support you bettering yourself for your future. It says a lot about you and your loyalty to feel guilty about leaving, but if this is your dream you should follow through, plus there's no guarantees that you'll get in for the spring program. Ultimately it is your decision and maybe you should've said something to your boss prior to now but if it was me I just couldn't see myself passing up an opportunity like this especially seeing how competitive the program is.... If it were the other way around and the company had to downsize I'm sure they would hate to let you go but would more than likely do so if it helped the company and their interests... Just my opinion.
