So I am going to apply to SPC's RN program for the Jan 2010 semester. I have everything but my Micro/Lab finished. I know they look at your GPA from certain classes and I have all B's in those classes. If I get an A in my micro classes, do you think they will even consider me for enterance into the program? I know how picky they are! has anyone gotten into the program with a 3.1 GPA or anything? I am kind of putting all my eggs in this one basket! Thanks in advance!!!

flg8r-they said it will between 12-15 people...and i think i heard them say 50 applied...so i guess we will wait and see :)

they said that to me too and only chose 6 of us .... wonder if they just "ballpark" it like that to shut us up

I went over there today. They have 90 some spots, 50 alternate spots and had over 400 applicants. They will let you know which number you are on the list if you ask. I have a 3.8 and also taking micro and I'm number 4...so you prob are at the top of the alt. list. She said last semester the top 9 got in and after the EAYL program selects candidates a few spots could open up. Good Luck and keep us posted.

I was alternate #50 last August & I got in. Just offering some hope :) Also, the students who got in probably had Micro completed already. If they all have it & you don't I was told that bumps you back. You can get in without it, but they admit those with it first. Good luck to you!!!!

how did your interviews go girls? i was in hr monday filling out some paperwork and met one of the girls interviewing at 10 .... if you are on here, just wanted to say "hi" to you. we spoke briefly, but i never caught your name

Dang it..that must have been the second interviews. Oh well, now I just hope a spot opens up through SPC. Good luck to all of you who got a second interview. Morgan, did you get through? Hope you did...keep us updated.

thepopes ..... they didn't call you for a second interview? i'm sorry if that is the case. when they did the ones for lpn, our 2nd interviews were spread out over a 3 day work week. keep us posted on your status please.

i have not heard anything back from eayl about a second interview. i didnt get in directly thru spc. has anyone else heard back from eayl??? they said they would let people know octoberish...

when i was there this past thursday to fill out h/r paperwork and get my photo id, etc .... there was a girl in there waiting to be interviewed by *** *. .... this was at 10am. i thought *****was the first one to interview you and then ****** *. was second interviewer. they may still be doing the first round of interviews .... i know ****** * is on vacation until next week, so that may be the delay as well .... which sememster start are they interviewing for?

I would think they are interviewing for this upcoming Jan 2010 semester. I am not sure how the LPN interviews went, but for the RN interviews they had a like 15-20 people pe time slot there and about 5 people doing the interviews. I thought that was our 1st interview, then we would get called in for a 2nd if selected. I am just freaking out now thinking that they have already selected the 2nd rounders and I wasn't called! :( I wonder if I should call and touch base tomorrow????

i worried as well after weeks went by and i wasn't contacted for my 2nd interview. i simply emailed ***** - who did my 1st interview. it was then i learned they were behind for various reasons and contacted me about 2 weeks later for the 2nd interview. i'd call or email. they are very nice and don't mind ...really. this girl i saw i think was there for her 1st interview --- i am assuming that since the 2nd one is held across the street at the education building with ******.

Yea... I think I will call them tomorrow just to see whats going on. Thanks for the info :)

I got a call back for the second interview!!! They are doing them next week :)!!! WISH ME LUCK!!! :)

Good Luck!! That's so awesome..I've been following this thread and I would have been worried to about the short interview and not hearing back soon enough!! CONGRATS!! (what a nerve racking process!!)
