What did i get myself into?!?
Oh my goodness!! I would so be in over my head!! The best of luck to you!!! Lol not only are the classes tough..but some of the overlapping material might be hard on you!! Did you talk to an advisor at your school or anything?!

THE RUNAROUND
I guess that's how my school weeds out students... You can drop a class but only so far into the course (like halfway through it.. Or before then)..but up until that point..i think i'm always doing well! Lol if you 'withdraw' you receive a "w" for the class but can re-take it. *i suppose i should have done so...but it's too late for that!! I live in pasco county near tampa fl..and st. Pete college.. And pasco hernando community coll. Both have the same rules about re-taking a course. Lots of students cheat the system by..just failing the class if they are not doing to well so that they can attempt it again.. Ughh such a pain..another part to this nursing school runaround lol!!

THE RUNAROUND
*you can't re-take if you have passed the class.. I passed "C" ...but that's not a good enough grade for nursing programs!!
-
THE RUNAROUND
at the schools I have and will attend they do not allow for students to re-take classes I had planned on doing so...

THE RUNAROUND
right after graduating in 2008, i continued with school as a full time student for a year and a half... after still seeming so far from getting into ns i evaluated my life and decided i want to work full time to finally be making decent money... now working full time i'm only taking one class at a time and still continuing on my journey...of making it to ns. (i do love my job...and the experience is great but i know this isn't a forever thing...i work in pharmacy) after, finally learning that i won't ever be able to get into spc (here in fl) bc of gpa requirements and not being a pinellas county resident... i transferred to phcc hoping i have a better chance... i have all a's and b's ...except in a&p 1 and 2 ...where i got c's (a's -go figure-in the lab courses) **i know... this is where it really counts!!! .. i don't know if i will ever make it into the program... i only need two more classes... comp (easy a) and science of human nutrition (most likely easy a)...alhtough they have an lpn program...which is a way to backdoor the rn program by first getting lpn (which will take another year..from me getting my rn...) i feel like i have picked the hardest field to get into...and wondering who else has gone through this predicament?!! i would love to hear from ppl in the same boat...and people that have traveled the same road before me :) i'm willing to do whatever it takes to get to where i want to be...i've been working at this awhile now... but it seems everytime i evaluate myself...i still feel so far away!!

Any CNA advice would be helpful!

I landed an awesome job now :) but with it being full time mon-fri.. i too will more than likely g2 work as a CNA as I start an nursing program :) best of luck!!

hey!! thanks!! I believe I've chatted with you on posts before...jeez i'm torn as well!!! idk what to do but my dream of becoming an RN seems so out of reach at times..it's truly frustrating!! go you though!! compeleting requirements at both schools!! SPC expects sooo much!! which county do you live in?! I'm in Pasco..(have always attended SPC) but I'm thinking the only way of getting is..is by being a resident of the co. of the school you go to.

PHCC
Hi Everyone! I was curious as to the nursing program at PHCC... I'm currently a student at SPC but seriously..their requirements are endless and I live in Pasco (they take pinellas county residents first) ...basically I don't know if I would be accepted there!! PHCC has a lot less requirements and it might be great for me! :) -how hard is it to get accepted? -where are the nursing classes located? (which campus) -what are the hours for the nursing program? Thanks so much!! I've been trying to find this info online but it has proved difficult!! All I know is I want to be an RN and I've been going to college for over a year now..and my dream still seems soo far out of reach!!! Thanks so much for any input!! :)
