  1. Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. I think everyone must have clinical 1-3 on Monday from what it seemed when I went to take the ATI tests. One of the girls said that your classroom may be different each day so they put your classroom for the day up on a tv screen in the lobby. It's going to be chaotic for a while!!! This was posted by one of last years students on ANGEL, so maybe it's the same... I am a level 1 nursing student as well. I went to the Nursing syllabus review on Wednesday. As long as our clinicals are at the campus, which I believe is 7 or 8 weeks into the semester we can wear the regular school uniform( white polo w. blue, black or khaki), except if we have to go into "the scene", which will be announced by the instructors. In "the scene" and once we do our clinical rotations at the hospital we are required to be "all in white"- Another post also mentioned that clinical days that are on campus start at 7am instead of 6am. Once we start going to clinicals then the times are earlier. Oooo I hope this is true!
  2. So, the first day of class is lab from 1-3. Does anyone know if we are suppose to wear scrubs (clinical outfit) or the white polo outfit. I wasn't sure since we techncially won't start clinicals until a few weeks in. The sheet says that the scrubs are for SCENE and hospital, but I can't remember if scene is the lab or something different. Help!! Also, will we need ALL the books for the first day?
  3. Hi, just got your message. Yes, I took it online. If you can get private messages I can let you know with who. It was pretty easy. All the quizzes are untimed, however none of the answers are ever that easy to find. It definitely takes a while to do each of the 10 questions. Her midterm is the same way, but you will have plenty of time to find most of the answers. I ended up with an A in lab, and B in lecture. I did no study for either of them ever. Good Luck. Also, I used the old edition micro book (found it MUCH cheapter) and it worked perfect. The instructor told me it was pretty much the same.
  4. Thanks, that makes sense. So we need two sets of books. The eBooks (or print/ebook) and the bottom half of the required books list. I think I'm going to do the eBooks...I hate reading things online, but to not have to lug around all those extra books seems like a bonus. Thanks for the bookstore info.
  5. Morgan...I'm not sure if I'm being retarted or what. Does it seem like on the second sheet (the one sheet of paper) that there are a lot more books listed than on the eBook sheet? Or did they mean that we need to choose one option on the 2 page handout (ebook only or ebook and print) AND get the rest of the books on the one sheet of paper. (The Kozier/Deglin books)? Does any of this make sense?
  6. WOW...that is a serious orientation. This will be my first tomorrow..hope it isn't too long. I couldn't attend any of the other ones, but he said this was mandatory. So, the EAYL do you take classes with everyone else through SPC?
  7. I have orientation tomorrow also, is your orientation at SPC also? or do you have a separate one through EAYL? I looked them all up on amazon and you can get the whole thing for around $450, but thats not including the "recommended" material which I doubt I will get.
  8. Does anyone have any info on HealthSouth Rehab?
  9. Does anyone have any Nursing I books they would like to sell? Also, there is a list of 14, would any past students say there were any not needed? Thanks.
  10. Well at least you know you are definitely next on the list. If he sent out more packets it sounds like you have a good shot at it. Let me know! They also sent out my schedule and it seems like I got my first pick..which is odd considering.
  11. Congrats to everyone who made it in. I didn't get into EAYL and I was bummed for a little bit, BUT then I got SPC's acceptance packet in the mail...which was my first choice. YAY!!! lilmommy98- did you get in?
  12. St. Petersburg College (campus in Clearwater, but the nursing campus is in Pinellas Park) Hillsborough Community College (Tampa) and PTEC (Clearwater, for LPN no RN). Good luck!
  13. Did everyone get the letter about Northside and Largo Med accepting 24 students into their expansion programs? I wasn't sure if they sent that out to all applicants notifying them.
  14. Yeah, that makes sense. I honestly have no idea. I forgot that they also do EAYL for the fall semester. I just asked how many applicants they are accepting. Ugh...I wish I would have been more specific. Sorry I can't be of more help!
  15. I agree..I'm still wishy washy on the whole thing. I have a 2 year old and want to spend as much time with her as I can. Good luck and see you at the orientation next month.
