So did anyone or is anyone currently in the FNP or Adult NP online program at this time? I spoke to an admissions rep and was really impressed. The set up is nice with one course at a time, although was told you can talk to your advisor and sometimes layer your courses here and there as well (like an 11wk course with one 5.5 wk course) which I'd prefer to do to get done faster...since I did my ASN at Excelsior and am finishing my BSN I'm well used to online format courses and have my time down to a science. I was planning on beginning my application process now, so that in December we submit everything with the potential to start the first week of Feb 2014...anyone else??? Any thoughts???
Hi FNP17,
I can totally understand your frustrations...did you end up finding a peds rotation? And may I ask how exactly you went about finding them? Did you just call every provider you could find or did you personally know people? This is by far my biggest concern about going here. I live in Orlando area and would much prefer UCF as my sites would be set up for me and guaranteed. The problem is that the next program doesn't begin until NEXT September and would take 4 years because they will only offer DNP after this year. I just don't want to wait that long to start my NP career...any advice would be so much appreciated!!
I am a current FNP student at South University. I am about to start Advanced Nursing Practice 2. I started looking at the preceptor information and under the dress code, it mentions obtaining a lab coat with the South University MSN emblem on it. I cannot find any additional information on this. Is this true?
Hi all, I know this thread started several years ago but I was wondering if any CURRENT or recent grads had updated comments on this school's FNP program. I am already accepted to another school but cannot start until November so was looking for other options. I am in Phoenix area so would attend the online program. I have read many of the comments but since they are several years old I didn't know what may have changed. Thanks all!
Hi,
I am looking at the FNP program through SU as well. Ive seen a lot of negative and the only positives are from just a few people. I'm curious to know if people have finished the program, passed boards, and the overall feeling of the program. I also saw a low pass rate of 66%. That is well below the national average of 88-ish%. Thanks!

Great! Sorry to keep bugging you, I'm just looking for any advice on how to find preceptors. This is my biggest worry and I'd like to start now. Did you walk into offices or just call offices?
