I just took the NCLEX for the second time and failed.. I do not know what to do.. I studied so hard both times. Everyone tells me "You know the information", but obviously I don't cause I failed again. I hear that doing suzannes plan works. About to try anything at this point. All my friends have passed their exam and I am soooo happy for them. I just want to be happy for myself. Last time I failed I got so depressed. I am trying to keep my head up but its hard. I got all 265 questions both times. The results that they sent me had 8 categories. 7/8 I got near passing standard (Does that mean I didn't pass at all??) and in one I was below passing standard. Haven't got my results for the second test yet, just found out today that I failed. Any help out there???

take sample tests unti you feel like you can do this in your sleep..
get as much sleep as you can be for the test, treat your self to a nice breakfast so you won't be thinking about your tummy and try some relaxation tecniques so that you can go in a kick some but

I just got my results today that I passed. I took Kaplan, to be honest I could not of done it without the review. This is how I studied, I would take a test, review it especially the wrong answers and then retake the test. I also looked at the strategies very carefully, assessment versus implementation. Look for a kaplan strategy book, they are on ebay , kaplan for me was the best. Good luck and try not to be sad.

The issue is understanding what NCLEX is looking for in an answer. They know that you have already been thru nursing school, but they want to know that you can use the information properly.
It is a skill that you need to learn, step one is to understand what they are looking for in an answer.
Best of luck to you.

I am not in nursing school yet, but I have made friends with many that are. The entire purpose of my being on this forum is to not only read other's experiences with nursing but for Suzanne's plan, which I have recommended to every nursing student I come into contact with.
All one has to do is read the success stories, and it is just amazing how well her system works.

Hi There, I passed my nclex by taking Kaplan review I would not be able to do it without it. Try using flash cards that helps too. If you can't take reviw by Kaplan try buying one of their strategies book I really recommend that as dale girl did too. I know it is hard to find all this comforting in the midst of what you are going through but you have come this far it is the end of the tunnel, you are almost there. Lots of luck and prayers, Anjum.

take a rest. a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop. jesus said to them, "come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." - mark 6:31

Thank you Bebe for the encouragement.

Good Morning,
Dont Be down, yes it is a good feeling im sure to say I passed, and Im happy for all that do.But I cant say that yet myself hopefully one day :nuke: I just made my 4th attempt at the test this am,and again I made 205 questions but what keeps me going is,I know my stuff and when I finally pass I am going to be a good nurse and so will you .To sit infront of that computer to take my test and forget it.I go totally blank, why I dont know:confused:
So I sit and wonder to wait for my results to be posted on the board of nursing website tommorow,Im contemplating do try again of course I will I put to much time and effort into this and I will pass sooner or later.I did realize one thing today I did figure out there way of asking questions which was a big help for me.The NCSBN review was a big help to me in certain areas, worth looking into,But best of luck to you keep trying.Dont give up.You will make it
