How often do nurses have sex in the hospital?

Nurses General Nursing

I read on the forum that while it's forbidden for a nurse to have sex with their patient, I haven't seen anything about having sex with other nurses, doctors, visitors, etc. Does it actually happen as often as it does on TV shows? Not asking whether it's wrong or not, just whether it happens.

I will tell you like always a story... is about another two friends of mine...loooooong time ago.... very in love and very out of closet in our little social nursing community.... everyone knew about them... me too...I was a very very very good friend with her and him ...becuase she loved him so much...... if was love there.. yup was A very BIG love... if was sex there... looool, ask them....BUT finally was a mess, everyone was unhappy... because was somehow a HIDDEN RELATION, for many many many reasons...know by them AND by others....my advice...

My heart is breaking just when I remeber her crying and looking in his sad eyes...

Conclusion: No sex, just love and don't hidding it in closets, if is love is pure is show up. Love forgive everything!

Forget about sex word! Go for love word and go outside! Don't hide it! Everythink that start with sex is a bad ugly word dosen't matter where you use it at work or outside! I know the real world is not like that.... but we can choose, yes??? And choose wise!

ALL of us are nurses...is supossed that we are wise...balanced...

Much if not most of what you see on TV or in movies has but the most tenuous contact with reality. The people who produce them are interested in attracting an audience in order to make money, that's all. Sex sells, so there you go.

Most nurses don't have the time to have even the quickest of quickies.

Hmmm, lets see...in 34 years working in hospitals...4 that I can think of. Who has time?? Personally, I would love to be able to sit down and actually EAT my meal, go pee when I actually feel the urge and not when it's "get the heck outa my way the yellow river is ready to flood", and take a real break.

TV does NOT reflect real life. Turn off the medical nookie shows-only in their dreams!

despite what the adult film industry would have you believe i suspect these things simply do not happen very often.

from what i understand everyone gains weight in nursing school and then we spend our career in a very un-sexy, exhausting, stress-filled, often oddly smelling environment. not exactly the ideal formula for naughty trysts.

of course there are exceptions...:icon_hug:

I've found that a good chunk of ER male nurses are quite hot. The eye candy of police officers and firefighter and paramedics that stroll through the ER is quite good. But I doubt anyone is having sex. And if they are, who cares! That's their thing.

If they're doing it on the job, I care! They are being paid to work, not act like hormone-driven teenagers who can't defer their urges for a few hours. Off the clock, you don't answer to your employer or your coworkers or your patients, but while you're on the job, act like a grown-up.

Balance with yourself and others and control with your self that is what we need IF we pretend that we are REAL PROFESSIONAL nurses, if no we could be whatever else... but not in medical settings.

Sex in medical settings could be a real think... BUT is the most low quality of life style that I ever seen in all my life and I have big doubts about people who using it! Is just my opinion...may be you, here fell in another way...is your own life style... but for me...knowing what means to work AND WORK...is just a screw-up of kuku minds, that is all! Kuku people kuku life style that is all!

While I agree with the most ER nurses I have seen are hot, other than them there is no one I would be willing to do the deed with.

Even if there was I wouldn't. I don't think work and play should ever merge together.

But seriously if you wanted to do that kind of thing, wouldn't you find a better place than the supply closet to do it? I wouldn't want my "beautiful" memories to be marred by toilet paper and cheap detergent smells.

And don't get me started about doing it with a patient.

Not worth it.

My thoughts exactly! I have seen some hottie male nurses, and I met my hubbie at work almost 20 years ago. We met on the job, but I can promise that we NEVER just hopped in the closet or anywhere else. I have too much self respect to do that to either one of us.

I work in LTC. Apparently, staff (including nurses) have had on-site trysts in the past, though not with patients.

Hmmm. . . .havn't tried that one.

I really don't think I would have the time. . .and that is just not something to do while you are supposed to be taking care of patients.
