SNOW!!!

Published

Love unexpected snow days, off Friday, again on Monday and then a 2hr delay this morning! We have 3 snow days built in that we don't get back if they are not used so I love having those unexpected days off. I got stuff accomplished at home and lots of grad school work done too! Of course I keep thinking it's Monday...

Just a little snow here so far this week. Used 2 snow days so far in January. Only good thing about winter! Expecting really cold weather this weekend .. single digits...

Really strange winter here. First real snow this season, 1.5 inches. I kind of miss it!

I personally contributed to the hole in the ozone in the 80s with my liberal use of Aqua Net (purple can)

I remember the girls used to carry these giant aerosol hair spray cans on the band bus for out of town football games. They would spray, tease, spray, brush, spray, spray, and spray, with an additional spray for good measure. I'm sure the bus was a rolling tube of flammable gas. I can still smell it when Far brought up the Aqua Net.

Snowy, is this your boat?

It is in the summer!!! It's everyone's boat! Mwahahahaha! But I did have my wedding reception on it many moons ago. ;)

Also, TONS of black eyeliner.

Aqua Net… I used to spray it on spiders (from a safe distance)… killed em dead :dead:

No snow here this year which is fine with me. No built in snow days and we lost one in Nov. due to strong winds and power outages.

I miss the snow. There is just something about a snow day that is soothing to the soul.

The only time the ground turned white where I live was when it hailed really bad one day.

I am a lurker on the school nurse board but I'm so curious about SNOW DAYS that I am coming out of hiding! How much snow does it take to get a day off?

Where I live the only reason for not having to go to work during the winter is a crazy winterstorm but the school is always open so if you can possible get to work you go. It doesn't matter if there is snow up to the kids waist they come to school and go out to play. Even now when the playground is coverend in ice they go out during recess 2-3x a day.

South of the Mason Dixon line it takes the THREAT of snow to close.

Here? Depends on the ice, depends on the projection.

We do a lot of 2 hour delays.
