SJSU Fall 2016

Hi guys, I couldn't find a thread for the Fall 2016 program so I thought I would make one! It'll be awesome to meet people who are applying to the same nursing program! It would also be nice to get a general idea of this semester's applicant pool since I'm pretty sure everyone is quite nervous!

I believe that Fall 2015 cut-off score was 7.25 and in Spring 2016, students were accepted with 7.0 impaction score. So I have no idea if it will increase or decrease this time around, but it might be closer to the previous Fall semester...

Pre-Req GPA (According to 4-unit Anatomy, 5-unit Micro, 5-unit Physio, 3-unit Stats, 3-unit Eng): 3.85

TEAS Score: 87.3

Impaction Score: 7.65

K1996, I was rejected from CSU East Bay and SFSU, although I was not surprised with this! Still holding on to hope for SJSU!

I applied to Hartnell College, this is the school I am currently attending. I got accepted but my first choice is SJSU so i'm still waiting to hear from them. Hopefully by Thursday if not next week I suppose.

Hello. Just wanted to join the thread. I also applied to SJSU for Fall. I'm surprised we still haven't heard yet. I got accepted into SFSU's program through the college of extended learning at Canada College. I'm not sure which school is my first choice, so if I get accepted to SJSU I have a lot of thinking to do to make the right decision.

I got accepted at SFSU/Sequoia at Canada College. Frankly, my 1st choice. Not sure if SJSU would accept me or not.

Thanks! TEAS V is 86% 1st and only try. Current Overall GPA is 3.94, Pre-req GPA is 3.84.

Sure. My prereq GPA was 4.0 and overall GPA 3.9 I got a 92.7 on my TEAS.

I knowww I'm dying of waiting! I haven't even accepted the intent to enroll and paid the fees. I probably will do it last minute...

When I signed up, they told me they were going to be sending out acceptance letters beginning of March. Then, they tell me it's beginning of April. Then, they told me they would send it out by end of April. I decided to pay for the orientation because I don't want to get kicked out if I DO get accepted but, my goodness, this is such a long wait. I wish I knew whether or not I've been accepted so I know whether I have to shell out more money to accept my follow-up schools or that my dreams have come true.

The anticipation is the worst. Good luck to everyone! Hopefully we hear later tonight or by tomorrow. If not, then I will have to put my intent to enroll this weekend since this school is my number one choice. I've also been accepted at Hawaii Pacific University (my second choice), but hopefully I receive good news from SJSU as well.
