  1. Hi, I applied to SFSU for the Fall of 2016. I didn't get accepted or interviewed to the program, despite the fact that I had fairly decent stats. My prerequisite GPA was a 3.69, and my cumulative gpa was a 3.76. However, my TEAS score was low at a 79.3. I've also had experience at the hospital as a nursing student intern at Stanford Health Care. SFSU also only admitted 20 students this fall with the 800 people that applied. Don't waste your time applying!
  2. Thank you! I'm super frustrated as well. I actually had one year internship with the Nursing ROP program in my high school and also volunteered for 3 months at my local hospital. I also tutored anatomy and physiology for a semester in my college. I applied in November but no response till this month. But everything happens for a reason. Wish you guys the best of luck into nursing school!
  3. My friend and I both received our rejection letters in the mail yesterday. I'm assuming all the spots for transfers are all taken now. I'm not sure how they choose their applicants. My gpa was pretty decent at a 3.76, but I guess they are looking for more hospital experience? Possibly becoming a cna would've been beneficial to applying. Well good luck to everyone who got accepted, or who are still in pursuit for nursing school! Don't give up!
  4. Still haven't heard anything back yet.. From the looks on last years forum I think some people were still being admitted till june or july. Kinda shady how they said everything would be sent out by april 1st.
  5. Didn't get accepted either. The impaction score was crazy high this year! Well congratulations everybody :)
  6. I havent heard anything back yet either :/ But I hope we get in! I called and they said wait at most till midnight
  7. The anticipation is the worst. Good luck to everyone! Hopefully we hear later tonight or by tomorrow. If not, then I will have to put my intent to enroll this weekend since this school is my number one choice. I've also been accepted at Hawaii Pacific University (my second choice), but hopefully I receive good news from SJSU as well.
  8. I forgot to include, last I spoke to the department emails of admission notification will hopefully be sent to our mysjsu accounts by Thursday, 04/28/16. Any transfer students already put the intent to enroll and sign up for mandatory transfer orientation?
  9. Thank you annie! I also grew up in Oahu, but I am still very excited to explore more areas of the island :) Where else have you applied?
  10. @annieyu185 I've applied to sjsu, csueb, usf, dominican, and hpu. I've already got admitted to both dominican and hpu. Still waiting on the other programs.
  11. That's extremely frustrating. I'm definitely putting my intent to enroll for a different BSN program now. The intent to enroll for most programs is May 1st which is also non-refundable and expensive. To have usf be a private university, I was hoping they would be somewhat more urgent with their admission notifications.
  12. No problem! The waiting game is horrible
  13. She said they were using a different system (NursingCas) this year for the first time, so it may take longer than expected. And a lot of applicants had course substitutions that they had to match with.
  14. I just called the department and they maybe be sending out letters around the 28th of this month.
  15. Has any transfer students heard back yet? It's already midway through the month and the intent to enroll for all schools is due on May 1st. I don't know if I should just put my deposit somewhere else now..
