NEW grad please review my resume and advice

I really appreciate you taking the time to open and read this. So, I paid for a professional to update my resume and I am starting to regret it. My resume looks so REDUNDANT and lengthy! it looks like a lot of filler words.

Keep in mind I am a new grad so I dont want my resume to make it look like I am a PRO and mighty about some of these skills.

I think it's ridiculously busy. I don't think clinical experiences belong on a new grad resume, at all. Start over with something simple that says a little bit about you. This sounds like it was written by a mouthy robot.

That's what I think too. I feel like my resume is trying to be something that I'm not quite am yet

I think you're right about the resume -- it's repetative, and doesn't show who "you" are in a way that would make me want to interview you. I'm a big believer in personalizing resumes to the job you're applying for, and that simpler is better.

- For example, are you applying for jobs in the same specialty as your preceptorship? You could say "XXX clinical hours, including 196 hr Preceptorship in YYY specialty", rather than listing each clinical.

- I don't ever put a Professional Summary on my resume, and to me it looks like almost everything there is listed somewhere else. I think Epic, and speaking Tagalog are incredibly useful skills, and should be on your resume.

- I would simplify the "Clinical Skills" list. Emphasis the things that would set you apart from your peers. Are there experiences you had that most of your classmates didn't? My capstone had a project requirement, and I also had a lot of opportunities that my classmates didn't have. So I put it on my new grad resume: where the capstone was, the project I worked on/its outcomes, specific skills (especially that I managed the full load of patients by the end of the semester). If you're applying to a specific specialty, include any professional memberships that show your dedication to that area.

- Include some details about your other work experience. Was there anything you did as a CNA or Med Tech that can help you adjust to an RN position? (I'm thinking things like time management, knowledge and practice of safe med administration, etc.)

THANKS! i really appreciate the helpful tips. At first look at my new resume, I knew that I need to change it to make it more personal. Right now, I feel like it's just another template that wouldnt set me apart. I was hoping that my work experience details would be on the resume but the person didnt put it on there at all. Should I delete Clinical Assessments skills completely?

Looks like I'll have to redo a lot of it. The resume service I chose was not worth the money i paid for =[

sorry but i can not stop laughing,I saw one like this by a recent new grad hiree and guess what ...she left already ..did not make one year.

Such gross exaggeration is an attempt to cover up lack of experience.

These are things that are"understood" of course you will check for any errors in charting.

Better be honest and state your willingness to learn and devote yourself to the profession.

Yeah I know that. That is why I am here asking for advice. The reusme service I used obviously went over board! I feel that my old resume is much better than this. It was way simpler. She didn't even put details of my past employment, which I think is very important considering that I am a new grad.

Did you REALLY "sterilize and make minor adjustments to medical equipment"?

I'm not nit-picking, but like others have said, this resume is too 'fluffy'.

Just be sure to include your bilingual speech proficiency on your new one.

I've actually already deleted that. I thought that was strange to have "sterilize and make minor adjustments to medical equipment". I've already deleted a lot but I feel like there is still so much fluff. Even if i repost the edited version, it's still fluffy. I have to literally undo everything this person has done to my resume.

SHOULD I JUST GET RID OF THE CLINICAL SKILLS SUMMARY? especially since core competencies already mention these. Instead I can replace that portion with details of my role in my past employment?
