To sdlane: it was sarcastic because people are always spelling "advice" with an "s" instead of a "c" on this forum. It happens like once a week lol.Funny thread...is it just me or does anyone else feel bad for people who are new to AN who actually ask that question without searching first...I feel bad because I know they are going to get snarky comments that might lead them to believe that nurses are a mean and nasty bunch who are not willing to dole out advice to those who are obviously interested in the profession.Funny responses though! What's with the super serious responses?

I heard you can be a Nurse on your way to CRNA.. I recommend doing that for a couple of weeks so you have a better understanding of the people that will be working for you.
I guess you technically can be on your way to anything. It's a matter of whether or not you make it there. The only sure thing is that we're all on our way to the grave.
Got it thanks;) !!!!!!! I don't think new people care, how others respond. There are always J.A.'s in the bunch and there will always be newcomers that ask the same questions . :lol2::lol2::lol2:

sdlane...
I have to say that I got a real chuckle out of your post when you were correcting me on my "advise"...although it made me happy to see that you knew the correct use of the words..advice and advise...that is one of my real buggaboos...and it drive me nuts..(and a lot of the members know this about me)...along with other grammar faux pas such as: "lose and loose", the continued INCORRECT spelling and use of HIPPA...,the phrase "have you ever been wrote up"...but I digress....
THanks for being so good natured about the people that corrected you...and HELLO back at you!!!! Proud not so newbie, here!

My gf & her hubby are teachers over in an eastern country & from what she posts on FB & to me, they have wonderful lives.
Why anyone would want to be a nurse, is beyond me.

You're girlfriend and her husband? By girlfriend i'm assuming you mean a friend that is a girl. otherwise that just sounds really weird.
