  1. Test and quizzes were not overly difficult just study and read. Good luck !!!
  2. I did take him. It was an 8 week sessions. Very intense and time consuming. I had labs every week that contained several steps to complete, sometimes I had to repeat the steps just to make sure I figured out the right pathogen, such as gram positive or negative, streptococcus, staphylococcus, etc., what type of infection the person had, that sort of thing but much more in depth. There was a huge amount of discussions every week. You have to post if I remember correctly 3 posts. One must be referenced, others are responses to your peers. There are quizzes I think at least 10 if I remember correctly. The class is doable just time consuming and sometimes frustrating during lab, but the software is excellent. You will never ever forget to flame the loop and test tube to prevent contamination. Relax, breath, don't get discouraged and you will do great. It came all the way down to the final for me. I was barely holding on to an A with a 91%. I aced the final !!!!
  3. I am not sure, but you know the last day to take the test for the spring is Sept. 24. I was one of the people testing at the last minute. Thanks, I need all the luck I can get, lol. I DID make A's on all the prereqs, I also have 3.47 overall gpa.
  4. Hello all ! I have been sitting back watching this tread and today I finally took the NLN. I did not have time to study before taking it. To my surprise there was like 45 people taking the test. I was shocked. I really hope I passed because I ran out of time on every section. On the math a guessed B on 8 questions and on the science I guessed C when I ran out of time. I hope my guessing paid off. I really hope I passed.
  5. Paco69 is right on. Make sure the school is accredited. Don't be desperate to get in any school without doing some research on the program.
  6. I had an HP too, messed up in a couple of days. I returned it ! I will never buy HP again. Maybe the system was just faulty but, I would not chance it, too many other brands out there.
  7. I think everyone has their own opinion on how one should dress at a job fair but, being fat really ? I did not no that was unprofessional. Not all people are skinny. Where is the love people ?
  8. I believe is awesome ! Thanks for passing it on !!!!!
  9. Oh and that may mean a longer time but, you will still make the same salary with less debt.
  10. I would go the cheaper route just because the economy is still bad. You can get a BSN for much less.
  11. It is just like dmskoka said. It is hard to get in nursing school and find a nursing job in CA. Apply to every hospital in your area.
  12. It is normal for you to have these feelings, just like some one at your new job, may think it is strange if you told them how you did things at your old job:). I don't think it is a big deal. You just were so use to doing things a certain way on your old job that the new job seems different to you. (Which it is a different hospital, with different ways of doing the same job.) You will adjust to the new ways !
  13. Call the schools in your area that offer it , it is easy to get an appointment here in SD. SDSU gives them Tuesday-Saturday cost $60.00.
  14. No you don't, get the Teas study guide and you will pass.
  15. You will have to take the science classes over because of the time limitations. Check with the nursing school you want to attend to be sure. TCCD is about $200 to $300 per 4 credit course depending on whether you are in district or out of district. DCCCD has several A&P courses around the same price check it out. Good Luck !
