Should I take Developmental Psychology online or in class?

Published

I already took intro to psychology....now its time for developmental psychology. Would this class be hard to understand if I don't do a face-to-face session???

I am taking oral communications online next semester and kind of wanted to do a semester with just online and work more.

What do ya'll think? Easy enough class to do so?

I am currently taking sociology and WISH that I have don't it online since it is a waste coming to class!

I thought it was an easy class, but it truly depends on what kind of learner you are. I took it face to face and thought it was very straightforward.

I took it online, it was easy to get through. Of course you'll have to read the book instead of listening to lectures (unless you get video lectures) but it's definitely manageable online if you can learn in that format.

I took it online, it was easy.

I took it online and while it required some work (short papers every week), it was very manageable online. It depends on how self-motivated you are.

I did it online and with the shorter session (only half a semester). I had no issues with it and was so happy I did it online instead of wasting my time commuting to a class.

Another vote for online. I took all my pre reqs online (the sciences were hard to take online!), and I feel like psych is a pretty "easy" one to take online. As long as you can stay on task and don't need the constant reminder of in-person, you should be fine.

I vote online, as long as you are comfortable writing quite a bit. I took it that way and it was an easy A. Good luck!!

I took this online and had no problems. It was a "different" type of commitment for me, because the instructor required us to make a certain number of bulletin board entries between Friday and Tuesday and I wasn't available to do schoolwork on weekends because this was when I scheduled most of my work hours. Otherwise, I enjoyed taking it online! If you did well in general psych, I wouldn't think you would do poorly in this class, even online.

Not going to advise you to go one way or another but i'll tell you my experience.

Test every other week, article critiques (you just summarize 2 psychology articles and say whether they were good or not", paper at end of semester. This was the easiest class i've taken in college. I didn't take it online because it wasn't offered.

I would say look ratemyprofessor and see if any of them have really high reviews. If not then take it online.

I'm taking it online right now and it's such an easy course. It's self paced and there are 8 exams, 1 final, and 1 paper.

I began early march and I'm already on exam 7.

Does anyone else see the apparent contradiction of the op taking oral com online?

As for developmental psychology, online is the way to go
