What kind of shoes do you wear to clinical? We must wear white, leather shoes that lace up the front. They can be sneakers as long as the emblem on them is small & not flashy. Do you have any suggestions?:)

I wear white Skechers and I think they are really comfy. I would like to try the Clogs but we aren't allowed to wear then to Clinical.

WHITE SHOES:confused:
In the UK we wear black to go with the black stockings;)
Only thing is I wear D M 'S [Dr Martins]
My feet are lethal weapons after a shift - could be used in nuclear warfare
Anyone else in the same predicament???

another vote for new balance 810s here! also, another vote for having 2 pairs of shoes (one for wearing into clinical & one for during clinical).
just my humble opinion. :)
good luck!

jevans, I am in the same boat, as I have to wear black leather shoes as well, and the Uni preffers if they are as flat as possible!! I have allreday trashed one pair of placement shoes, I just got some new ones from barrats in their end of season sale!!!
Plus on the nuclear warfare front.... 5 boxes of plasters so far and counting, and about three extra large bottles of febreze! But that is probably not something I should have admitted too:)

I bought two pairs of shoes too, but now I think I might make that three. I rotate my clinical shoes so they can air out on their "day off." I just toss them outside on my balcony and the sun bakes out any smell. I personally prefer the Rockport - their a bit expensive ($80) but are just SO comfortable.

Just curious, what does the rest of your clinical uniform look like??
Love Dr. Martins!(not for clinical though!) I wear New Balance but my butt hurts after clinical's.... Could just be from my instructor chewing on it all day! HE-He

Don't buy NurseMates! They Suck! I like Reebok Walkers. The DMX brand have been very good for me. Right now, I have a pair of Nike walking shoes that are also very comfortable.

Nursemates will not support you at all through a 12 hour shift. New Balance seems to be the only shoe that works for me and my Flinstone feet. Really,I have very high instep and arch,so its hard to find a shoe that dosn't hurt.

I love Aasics Gel-1070. They offer the arch support and cushioning my feet crave!! However they are expensive around $75.00
Good luck in all that you do now and in the future!

I got mine at Wal-mart. Paid $20. and they aren't the ugly Dr scholls ones that I had to wear in LPN school. These are made by the same company. We are not allowed to wear tennis shoes. I gotta get some insoles to put in them tho.:kiss

I just bought a pair of Propet Stability Walkers. Found a size 15 without a problem, and they were only $40. Anybody else heard of these?
We've gotta go buy my wife some too. Not sure what to get. Just going to try and find something comfortable.
