Yep, Delilah who does love songs. Its not really my favorite forum of music,but its one that most of us can agree on.I really like the retro/disco on Saturday nights. It keeps us all moving as we get slammed with chest painers from the e.r. who state they have been having pain for 2 days. Whats up with that anyway?

I'm a night person so I rarely hit a 2 a.m. slump. Since I quit smoking, all those"I'm going downstairs" breaks have turned into walks around the campus. What radio stations do you guys listen to. Does anyone else do Delilah?

I work on busy telemetry floor in a resort town. Full of snowbirds and their recurrent USA. We are always full,if we discharge 16 in a shift, we will admit that many. The wait for the bed is what holds our pts. in ED.We are also under constatnt construction to expand space.

I just moved from Georgia. I don't have my copy of the Nurse Practice Act for Ga.,but Greytnurse is correct. LPN's cannot hang blood,(initiate transfusion), but can monitor after first 15 minutes are monitored by an R.N. Also ,no IV pushes. An LPN can hang maintanance fluids and piggy back an antibiotic or whatever. I know that an RN is supposed to do initial assessment,but that doesnt happen in the real world. Usually, an RN would let me sign on under her screen on computer, but I would complete the assessment.

Hi Mandy, Please dont allow yourself to feel less than anybody,ever.Not just in school,but in any life situation. I am an LPN in Rn program.I may have some base knowledge that an inexperienced student has,but I'll tell you one thing you probably have over students like myself. In clinicals,you are fresh and have no BAD HABITS learned yet.You will probably be able to do it by the book automatically,while I will really have to work on it.So, in that scenario,you would probably be a better clinical student by an instructors view. Keep your faith,stand strong in what you do know,and never be afraid to ask if you don't. Good Luck,stevie b

Im an LPN,currently in school for RN. I work on a busy telemetry floor.The nurse practice act varies greatly from state to state,as I recently found out after moving.I can do almosteverything the RN does,with exception only of IV push,Conscious sedation and hang blood.At the hospital I am at now,I am not allowed to even verify the blood.Honestly,Im glad I cant do the pushes yet,Lopressor scares me and the other cardiac pushes as well. even though the RNs communicate with the monitoe tech before,during and after the push,I have witnessed some very scary moments, and dont want to take that responsabilty on until I graduate and am ACLS cerified.
