So I'm officially starting nursing school tomorrow, no more gen Ed's, finally!! Anyway, I've been putting off buying shows because I don't know what type of leather I Should buy of dansko. Oiled or cabrio?? Which will hold up the best?
HI~ I have these and they are my favorites!
So comfy and super cute and like another poster with her Alegrias mentioned, TONS of compliments.
I also have black patent Alegrias and Danskos. All good, but these are my favorites.
I have the Dansko professional in tooled (black but with a design). They are easily wipeable and pretty. Even though there's a design on them, they were okay at my school because it's technically just one color. My feet feel amazing after a 12 hour clinical and I plan to use these same shoes at the start of my career. I've heard you can get 6-8 years out of them.

I just bought the Alegria Debra in white (What is with Nursing schools requiring white shoes???) and I have to say they are not the cutest shoe at all, but after clinicals last week my feet and back were killing me. I'm going to try them tomorrow at clinical once again. I tried to wear Dansko's but I rolled my ankle the first day and I was so not willing to do that again!
It's a beautiful day to save lives.
I bought a couple pairs from Shoes for Crews. I haven't started clinical or anything yet, but when I tried them on at home they were super comfy and they have slip resistant soles.

I loved Danko. My feet and legs never ache after a busy clinical day or shift. For me the leather was easy to clean (white) but of course like any other leather item you have to be careful for scuffs marks. If you treat them with care and clean them weekly you wont have to purchase another pair until you start to work. Or in my case, I bought a new pair for pinning. Which was a year and a half later.
