Hey guys ,
please post your stats here if you're applying to sfsu nursing program so we can have an idea about how competitive this cohort is ? Do you know If they accept for both fall and spring ?
Thank you and good luck
@allmylove4LZ, I'm pretty sure it's ok if you decide to change your admission response to CSULA. You don't owe them anything, ethically speaking, though I'm worried about this, too. They know some people are going to do this. You say you have to decide by April 13th. Do they make you pay a deposit on that date? If so, know that you will have to lose that money (likely around $300 or $500, though!) if you choose to go to SFSU instead and that you can add it to your overall nursing education cost.I'm sort of in the same boat, except that I've already accepted back in February and now I'm supposed to be moving to Texas in 5-6 weeks (I got into a really great program there!) unless I hear back from SFSU that I've been accepted and take that spot.
Why do you prefer SFSU to CSULA?
That's good to hear that someone is in my same position! I don't have to make a deposit or anything until May 1st and I think they do that BECAUSE other schools are still sending out admission decisions. As far as my preference for the school: SFSU is 2 years instead of the 3 at CSULA which is the main reason. CSULA is closer for me (2 hours) but the SF area is better. I would have to relocate either way.
The bsn program at CSULA moves straight into the masters program. Why would you choose sfsu over that?
I'm not looking to enter into the masters program but it is a great option for those who are looking to get their masters degree. I'm still waiting to her back from SFSU before I make my final decision - in the end both schools have great nursing programs and I would be happy with either!
