@Macaroni84 yes, I'm in for Peds! Apparently they called my house on Friday afternoon initially but I was working and wasn't able to take the call. Checked my e-mail about an hour later and received notice that way. It came as such as a surprise because just days before I had been told that there was no movement on the wait list. I guess it just goes to show that you should always have hope!

I just found out I got IN! I can't believe it, especially when I had lost all hope! Can't wait to meet the rest of you in the ELMSN program! And for those of you still waiting, never give up! I applied for 3 years before I got in so keep trying =)

So I called this morning and was told that they have started pulling off the waitlist, at least for the ELMSN program. They haven't pulled off anyone from my particular specialty, but they have for others. Pretty discouraging for me; I feel like that means my chances are slim to none....

Regarding the ELMSN: @Macaroni84 I was thinking the exact same thing--why the long wait? I've thought about calling for another update but haven't....

Thanks @master641215! I am #2 on the waitlist for Peds, so here's to hoping I can move just two spots too and join you! Wish I knew how many spots there are for each specialty so I could assess my chances better... @macaroni84, you can try calling the School of Nursing for your waitlist number. I did and was told they pull off the waitlist by speciality, can anyone confirm this?

I was waitlisted as well. I wonder how long the waitlist is? Congrats Master641215! Being that there were only 16 seats, your admission is quite an accomplishment! When do you have to accept your admission by?

Hi Everyone, Just to update those who applied to the ELMSN program, I emailed SFSU and was told there are 20 seats and that we should be hearing back around mid-April. I know it's been said here that there are only 10 seats so I'm not sure why I was told 20. Hopefully there are actually 20 seats! Even 20 is quite competitive...good luck everyone!

ahh I see. Well I'm guessing this isn't a good sign for me then...don't acceptances go out first?

Hello! I will also be applying this upcoming cycle to the Pediatrics track. Can anyone who went to the information sessions or any of you students who are in the program now offer some insight as to who we should choose for letter of recs? I see on the website it says individuals who "are acquainted with the applicant's work or community experience." Does this mean letters from those familiar with our work or volunteer experience are preferred over academic references? Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks and good luck everyone!
