SFSU Fall 2015

I applied for the Fall 2015 pre-licensure BSN program. My understanding is SF State accepts applications in the fall, only, but those students accepted start either in the Fall or the following Spring. I could be wrong though.

I repeated one non-prerequisite course at a school I attended prior to my current school, and academic renewal at another CC, so I am unsure of how their school of nursing will calculate my overall GPA. Below is my best guess of my stats:

Overall GPA: 3.52

Prerequisite GPA: 4.00

TEAS: 91.3%

I also worked for my family as the primary caregiver of my grandmother who suffered from dementia at the time, which SF State's school of nursing may or may not accept as health care experience.

and I volunteered in a hospital around 120 hours .

The problem is that they don't have point system like other schools have.

I'm also applying to the entry level Master's at SFSU. This is my second time applying, but with the admission at 10 people this time, I don't think my chances of acceptance are all that great.

No, I didn't apply to any other nursing schools. I probably should have, though.

Both USF and Samuel Merritt are good schools. But in terms of price, SFSU is the way to go!

I applied for fall 2015 and can't wait to hear back!

I've also been a PEACH for a year and a half, so over 120 hours there and then 80 hours in the critical care unit plus I'm an RA. Crossing my fingers!
